Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I've found something else that is extremely valuable. Bitwarden refers to it as "emergency access". It's essentially a digital legacy where you can assign approved users who can request access. If you don't decline within a certain timeframe, they can access it in case you're incapacitated or deceased. When I last checked, only a few services offered this feature. Bitwarden had the simplest and best implementation.""In our organization, we use Bitwarden for managing product credentials. Bitwarden's collection feature enables us to securely create and store credentials, and we can easily provide team members with access to the relevant collections.""The product has a very friendly community.""The customer service and support are good. The technician is on time and the follow-up is amazing.""It is open source and the premium package is reasonable.""Its integration capabilities and versatility, like the ability to securely save passwords and other critical information, make it incredibly useful.""Having all the passwords in one place is helpful."

"The most valuable feature is that it is flexible. It has many connectors. that have done well, the EPV and SSH sessions are all being recorded and everything works fine.""The password protection itself is the most important feature. It's something we didn't have before.""The tool has safe vaults. We keep our passwords in the Vault. The tool’s recording feature is also valuable for us.""It's a highly flexible solution that can adapt to each customer's needs.""Security is the solution's most valuable feature. As far as I know, this solution is the most secure system of this class on the market today, even considering another management system like Fudo Security, which we also use. The integration capabilities are very good; it helps strengthen our overall security.""CyberArk has a lot of modules.""The password rotation and cyber gateway have been quite useful.""If properly set up, CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault has good stability, and is a very solid tool. It can run by itself. Its most valuable features are auto password recycling and PSM."

Cons
"I would like to log in with a master account using a passkey, that would be easy.""The solution should be made more secure as it has the banking sector and assets saved.""I often use another password manager as well to keep my passwords separate, ensuring redundancy. But one simple thing Bitwarden could improve is providing an option to duplicate credentials. Often, you're creating many sets of credentials for the same thing. If they all have the same information, notes, login, collection, and naming - all you're changing is the password. The ability to duplicate credential records quickly would be a big win. It doesn't do that right now.""The product could be cheaper.""The product must be a bit more unified and refined.""Enhancing the tool by including additional security variables would be a valuable improvement.""It would be ideal if the application could be seamlessly integrated into our open-source software, especially for the purpose of enabling straightforward logging."

More Bitwarden Cons →

"CyberArk has two disadvantages; the first is that it's insanely expensive and the other is it's very complex.""Upgrading the product is very difficult, so this could be an area for improvement.""CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault's GUI has certain shortcomings that need improvement.""Enhanced PSM support for Java based applications.""The architecture needs to be improved.""What needs to be improved in CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault is their customer support, particularly in terms of responsiveness, willingness to help, and being more understanding. The initial setup and upgrade process for the solution is complex and can only be done by CyberArk, so this is another area for improvement.""The price is high compared to Azure Key Vault. It's the most expensive solution.""We should be able to join small components."

    Overview

Move fast and securely with the password manager trusted by millions.
Drive collaboration, boost productivity, and experience the power of open source with Bitwarden, the easiest way to secure all your passwords and sensitive information.

CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault, a vital component of the CyberArk Privileged Access Manager Solution (PAM), is designed to create, secure, rotate, and control access to privileged accounts and credentials used to access systems throughout an enterprise IT ecosystem. CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault enables enterprise organizations to better understand the scope of their privileged account risks and put controls in place to prevent malicious or inappropriate account or credential access.

CyberArk Enterprise Password Vault uses a Central Policy Manager protocol (CPM) to perform the basic password management functions.

    • Verify Password Task - The CPM will pull the password from the vault and use it to log into the application or device to verify that the password is indeed correct and satisfies all the password safety protocols.
    • Change Password Task - The CPM will pull the password from the vault and create a new password that meets all preset protocols. It will send it to the device or application and then begin the process of changing it, using the same method that might be performed manually. The CPM will then update the password in the vault.
    • Reconcile Password Task - This task is utilized when there is a failure in either the Verify Password Task or the Change Password Task. Using a pre-established reconcile account from the vault, the CPM will use the reconcile account credentials to reset or fix problematic password issues due to changed passwords not being updated properly, new accounts being established, or any other failure with the above tasks.

Enterprise organizations can utilize the easily adaptable policies and protocols to enforce granular privileged access controls, automate workflows, and rotate passwords at prescribed regular intervals without requiring any manual IT effort. Additionally, to satisfy compliance regulations, organizations can easily generate reports to prove that passwords are being changed regularly according to guidelines, meet strict password safety protocols, and report on which users accessed what privileged accounts, when, why, and what device they were using. Enterprise organizations can know at all times that data has remained secure at all times. CyberArk Password Vault will have enterprise organizations audit-ready at all times, keeping them safe and secure from risks while maximizing productivity and profitability.
