Replaces third-party products and is easy to deploy a configuration or policy to a system
Reporting in Microsoft solutions is pathetic. With Intune, I'm getting a free inventory tool, but I don't get a reporting tool. When I go to Intune, I can see one machine's entire data in terms of the hardware and the software running on it, but I cannot generate a report for all the machines in the organization. The reporting is the only feature holding back the functionality that is already there. All the other third-party tools are doing the same thing, whether Atlassian, ManageEngine, or Ivanti. They all install an agent on your system. Intune also has an agent on your system collecting inventory details and sending them across the central console, but Microsoft doesn't have the reporting capability there. That is the only drawback I see.

A suite of cloud computing services that provides a series of modular cloud services including computing
The sole use case is to achieve a unified account experience across various platforms, specifically with Google Cloud Identity It's a data field list aiding in the onboarding and offboarding process. It enables centralized security control for the account, eliminating the need to manage it…

A complete tool with good reliability and simple licensing
We mainly use it in transport, for example, in police and governemnt The solution allows for very good remote control. We only have to get one application and have everything we need under the license.  It's a very complete tool. We've had a good user experience overall.  The licensing is…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We can securely manage both company-owned devices and personal devices enrolled in our BYOD program."
"The most valuable includes managing everything from a single console."
"Maturity makes it a stable product."
"It's really easy to access."
"I like the tool's integration with Apple. Anyone who creates an ID in Intune will get an Apple ID."
"In terms of technical support, you will get an immediate response."
"...Intune itself integrates with that entire Microsoft ecosystem. As an individual product itself, it's okay. It holds up. But when you start saying "I've bought this as part of a wider solution, as a company we are going Microsoft throughout," then it makes more sense to have Microsoft Intune... so you have that single dashboard."
"A valuable feature is user enrollment, where users can enroll their devices in their organizations themselves."
"The most valuable feature of Google Cloud Identity is group access. You are able to assign policies to groups instead of users individually."
"The tool provides a free service that you can integrate for laptop authentication. You also don’t need a separate Active Directory."
"Google is always on its own. Google Cloud Identity is pretty good on every point."
"Google Cloud Identity uses what they call organizational units (OUs) instead of the security groups you'd find in Microsoft's Entra."
"It is a very stable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten."
"Although we have not looked at the whole product and explored it completely, we find that all the authentication features that we are using now are valuable."
"The solution is user-friendly."
"The solution is primarily used for single control and single sign which helps with the security and authentication of multiple devices."
"The keywords menu is better than other MDM. They have an Out of Contact policy, which other MDMs don't have."
"The most valuable feature is the remote support because there are plants here where IT staff is not present. We can use it to provide support remotely."
"It helps in enrolling, managing, and relocating the devices quickly."
"The most valuable features of the solution are containerization and app control."
"The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing."
"The feature I find most valuable within Soti is the ability to reset or unlock a device. A lot of the devices that we use are in the field. We have locations in Dallas, San Diego, Seattle, Washington, and Phoenix, Arizona and there isn't always someone, within our company, who is managing these devices. Sometimes it's the doctors' offices that we partner with where they use these devices. Having the ability to remotely reset a device or unlock a device has been super-crucial for me."
"We can do auto patch updates using SOTI. SOTI has been well placed in terms of the number of endpoints it can handle."
"The most valuable feature is the fact that I can manage my devices remotely."

Cons

"There should be more support for macOS. Even though macOS is supported by Intune and Microsoft is working very hard to get more features into Intune to manage macOS, that's one thing they can give a lot more attention to."
"Microsoft Intune lacks the ability to provide seamless remote assistance or remote control."
"Reporting needs improvement."
"The product needs to upgrade itself when the server is overloaded."
"The closest Microsoft Intune can be to GPOs, the better. There needs to be more granularity on application deployments. However, they have done better recently with the application deployments."
"Intune's third-party patch management could be better. It should be easier for the average system admin to keep non-Microsoft applications updated."
"Integration with Mac devices requires some improvement."
"Lacking in features such as Wi-Fi and network security."
"The integration should be made easier."
"Google Cloud Identify could make the technology used easier to understand as a layman making it more user-friendly."
"I would like to see more integration in future releases."
"To improve the product, the integration with third-party products could always be smoother."
"If I were to suggest enhancements, it would mainly revolve around ensuring compatibility and maximizing integration options with various services."
"The customer service and support team is not so good."
"The management of external users needs to be introduced in the tool as it is an area of concern in the tool presently."
"We cannot manage the attributes of SSPR."
"The solution could use better reporting."
"The pricing policy of SOTI is not stable. You buy it today at one price, and the following year, it becomes something like 5% or 7% higher. From my point of view, SOTI is a little bit weak in terms of implementation on the new Windows 10 devices, and they have to work on this. It can't compete with Intune and other solutions when it comes to Windows implementation. It almost doesn't work with iOS. It works well with Android."
"The main feature that we would like to have with Soti is the ability to push an iOS update without having people come to my office. That is the main reason why we went with Soti. And that feature is not working on my version."
"I wish that I had some more tutorials and educational resources on how to use the product."
"Its user interface needs to be improved."
"It would be helpful if the product offered more integration and more features around the iOS and macOS platforms."
"Most of our devices are Android, they're Google related, so we need access from Google to do certain things. There are ways around that, but that's something that we're really looking for. How can we control the Apple Air? How can we get into that app?... How can we make sure that that app doesn't try to update in the middle of the day when our driver needs it?"
"Adding more features for iOS devices would be an improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is relatively pricey, but considering its benefits, I'd say it's fair. The benefits outweigh the expensive licensing fees, especially for large organizations, but medium-sized and smaller businesses may be unable to afford it."
"It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free."
"I am not that aware of the pricing, but as compared to other MDM solutions, Microsoft is providing a lot of things at the organizational level. So, it is quite reasonable as compared to other MDM solutions."
"It's affordable. In comparison to the competitors, the price depends on what features you need from Intune, but it's affordable. There are no hidden costs, but there are some features that go for a premium price. Those are the add-ons for which you have to pay extra."
"It is cheap, but as compared to Google, it is costly. Google is cheaper, but quality-wise, Microsoft Intune is better."
"The licensing is on a yearly basis."
"If you're ever going to buy an Office 365 environment, then pricing is reasonable given all that it does, but if you're not, then you might find the pricing expensive."
"We don't get Intune as a separate module. Most of the time, we use it within an enterprise agreement like E3 or E5. Those licenses are at a good price, but what is annoying is that every single year they go higher."
"The fees are paid monthly and there are no additional costs other than the licensing fees."
"The solution is not expensive."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
"We probably spend about $50,000 a year on licensing."
"The licensing cost depends on the partners and the relationship between the company and the partners."
"I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"The pricing is a bit expensive."
"SOTI MobiControl is a budget-friendly solution."
"We have annual licenses to use this solution."
"There are additional costs if you want to use extra features."
"There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The pricing is reasonable and the licensing model is very reasonable when compared to some of the competitors in the market. I can speak directly regarding Intune, which is very expensive compared to SOTI."
"SOTI's pricing seems to be competitive."
"The product is reasonably priced at the moment."
"SOTI is fairly priced. It's not super expensive. If you have a thousand devices that are licensed, it's going to start climbing up in price. Typically, it's like 25 bucks a seat for a year."
