Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best part is that you can integrate a two-way network. Earlier we could not manage the storage and ToR switch. Now we can create a LAN with our storage without any interface. In terms of switch management, it is now easy to understand the current configuration. It provides centralized management. It provides a single pane, and you can easily do all updates in one shot. It is a great product.""OneView provides a single console, which is manageable without physical access.""It monitors all our servers, and if there is any problem it straight away sends us an alert. If It's a faulty component, we can see it from there. It sends an alert.""We also have the 3PAR and the GUI is almost the same. So the recognition is very good.""Profile templates: The ability to generate the profiles and lay them down so the servers are built consistently. I would say that's probably the biggest piece of it.""Broad range of tools to create executive and operations dashboards.""Administration-wise it's going to be easier. More smooth and more flexible.""It's rather simple to use, and that's very important for us."

"The notifications are definitely one of the most valuable features of Nagios Core. We know what to look for and what to expect when things are down.""Nagios monitors our servers, so we know if anything goes wrong and can solve the problem before it happens.""It is fairly easy to set up, and we can monitor pretty much everything we want to.""I like that it's very simple to install, easy to manage and deploy, and easy to use for monitoring.""Key features include the GUI interface, its notification capabilities, and the real-time reporting.""Dashboard provides monitor of total assets.""Other products are good but from the configuration point of view Nagios is really very lightweight. The price is really good in my opinion. Another important thing is that my Nagios engine still works with Dual core 8GB ram for the last 10 years.""It has made the life of the network operations staff more proactive in managing the resources of the infrastructure. It prevents disasters long before they can take place."

Cons
"HPE OneView should be able to cover more device models apart from ProLiant and Synergy.""The solution's console can be improved by making it more user-friendly and adding the capability to filter the reports out using only the information required.""I had some minor difficulties with upgrading, but the solution still works fine.""Does not allow for switch configuration other than through OneView.""We have a version 3 and a version 1.2, but the upgrade process from the 1.2 to the 3 is kind of an issue.""The speed and performance of the solution are areas where the product lacks and needs improvement.""There was a feature called HPE cloud manager, but now it is owned by Micro Focus. HPE should make a cloud optimizer again.""It needs more reporting capabilities."

More HPE OneView Cons →

"Nagios Core could improve by adding a user interface. If you want the user interface you have to use Nagios XI.""There is room for improvement in the graphics.""The scalability needs improvement, it's not scalable at this time.""I would like to see a sensor that shows the traffic of a user and what they're doing on the network.""It's not that easy to install the product itself. Also, the UI is a bit hard for regular users to navigate through.""We're using the free version, which limits us in terms of the things that we can do. If we had the paid version, a lot of our issues would probably go away. For example, we can't isolate instances that are being built or updated with the production ones. When they're being built, on Nagios, they're showing in red. It'd be nice to be able to partition those off until they're all green, and then we can bring them into the environment. This is probably because we've got the free version and not the paid version. If we went for the paid version, it would probably allow us to do exactly what we want to or remove the restrictions that we have, but if we are able to isolate instances in the free version, it would make life much easier.""Nagios Core does not have a graphic display.""It would be nice if the company offered a sales or contract manager that was dedicated to our company so that we would have some sort of link to Nagios, and if we had issues or questions, we'd be able to contact them directly."
