Find out in this report how the two IT Infrastructure Monitoring solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Broad range of tools to create executive and operations dashboards."
"The most valuable features are the composable structure, infrastructure, and automation."
"We cannot function without this solution. "
"Provides the strongest support for automation."
"The solution's technical support was great...The initial setup of HPE OneView was easy."
"We have the dashboard up on a big screen, and you can actually see when things go wrong or if there are any faults with any of the servers. The backup is automated as well, so the appliance is quite good."
"If you have a lot of devices, like we do, then you have to have one single pane of view, otherwise we lose too much time. So, we needed this type of solution."
"By being able to deploy servers very quickly and rapidly, we can respond to any business requirement needed."
"The asset management tools are very valuable."
"From my perspective as an asset manager, the most valuable feature of the solution is the configuration management portion, where I can actively add something to the database."
"It has been very useful for tracking. It has evolved a lot over time, and there is a single pane of glass where you can track and see everything."
"You can improve integrations of the operation with the solution."
"Has service mapping, impact management, metric intelligence and health of analytics."
"The most valuable feature of ServiceNow IT Operations Management is the user interface."
"As a product, ServiceNow IT Operations Management is pretty strong, and it can discover non-IP devices."
"The way this solution has helped us is that it improved our communication."
"Does not allow for switch configuration other than through OneView."
"The tool doesn't send automated alerts via email...We should be able to receive notification emails when a server or hardware issue arises, which would be helpful if someone is unavailable in the office."
"They can improve reporting and provide more customized reports. Currently, reporting is a bit limited. It can be complex to learn and manage for beginners. Because of my experience, I find it comfortable to manage, which might not be the case with beginners. It would be good if they can make it a little bit easier to understand. They can provide a more graphical view of connectivity and other things. Their technical support can also be improved."
"It would be better if we can add every HPE device to OneView, such as MSA, as well as the other servers like the DL server and ML server."
"Use it, but do not think it is going into the clouds, because it is not. There is room for improvement."
"One thing which is missing is that you can't actually log a support call yourself."
"We ran into a couple of issues here and there with the baselines for the firmware and not having enough space on the appliance itself to be able to have more than two baselines."
"I would like to see them expand into other cloud platforms, non-HPE platforms."
"The solution’s licensing cost could be improved."
"There are not enough apps in the app store to expand functionality. There should be more made available."
"The product needs to add a workflow insight tool."
"An area for improvement for ServiceNow IT Operations Management is making service mapping and discovery easier for non-IP devices."
"The tool can be improved by including more detailed information to assist new users."
"The pricing is high."
"The most complaints we have received from our clients are the solution's discovery aspect. I've heard a few concerns from the customers where we have to integrate with a third-party tool to make a full-fledged discovery along with ServiceNow. ServiceNow alone does not do the total capacity of the discovery. The discovery portion of ServiceNow IT Operations Management is not in-depth as what the customers are looking for. The information that it gathers from the assets is a little more limited than what other tools provide."
"The security policies could be increased."
