Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like the fact that you can find almost any product connection that you need and the list is always expanding.""The most valuable feature of Informatica Cloud Data Integration is Pushback. You are able to push the data to the solution itself, and it can handle the queries. It helps us a lot. With other tools, the burden is kept on the server.""The Mapping Configuration and PowerCenter wizards are valuable. We use them to run our business logic.""It is one of the best tools available for data integration.""I do a quite a lot of data transformations, and the fact that I can do them without changing any of my SQL queries from the code, using the inbuilt tools, is very helpful.""The Mapping Designer allows for declarative ETL development (visual scripting) that leverages a wide array of different transformations.""The solution provides increased efficiency while still being user-friendly and easy to operate.""Whether we need data cleansing or data mastering, we get it all in one platform."

"Quickly develops a data warehouse for our organization with documentation and can track back/forward features.""WhereScape RED has improved our business's ability to generate needed reporting without requiring a large team of developers to manually code all of the necessary plumbing.""RED has provided us the ability to integrate, stage, and transform data from diverse sources into an enterprise-grade data warehouse which meets the needs of my organization, but it also enables us to easily and quickly make ETL or DW changes.""Naturally produces a way to easily debug your DW data solutions.""WhereScape's deployment package is a fantastic feature. The application allows for selecting specific objects that you would like to deploy from one environment to another rather than deploying the entire database.""Data transformations and rollups are easy to accomplish.""The tool supports multiple target update methods.""This is a fantastically robust DW tool that will make you at least 10 times faster in producing a DW."

Cons
"Cost-wise, it could be better.""I would like to see more functionality added so that it is a bit closer to how much you can do with Informatica PowerCenter.""The price modeling could be more flexible.""One area that needs to improve is the user experience because it is very complex. The trial version is very complex so it's not easy to start using the program immediately. You must study the rules first.""Informatica Cloud Data Integration can improve by being more user-friendly. When you're working with the solution a lot of technical knowledge is required. It's not a solution that anyone can use properly, you need knowledge of what's happening at the back end, such as SQL. When you get stuck, you need to look into your logic. For other tools, such as Dell Boomi, anyone can use them.""The main issue preventing Brazilian companies from migrating to Informatica Cloud Data Integration from on-prem is the price.""There are a small number of UI bugs that occur on occasion.""We would like to have accessibility to the repository."

More Informatica Cloud Data Integration Cons →

"Customization could be better.""The scheduled jobs which are run by the WhereScape scheduler seem to be a strangely separate animal. Unlike all other WhereScape objects, jobs cannot be added to WhereScape projects. Also, unlike all other objects, jobs also cannot be deleted using a WhereScape deployment application.""Jobs cannot be deleted via the deployment package. When deploying from dev to QA or production, a job has to be retired. The job has to be manually removed from the target environment.""It could use a tool to diagnose what is missing from the environment for WhereScape to install successfully.""Technical support isn't the best.""They need a more robust support center. It has been a bit difficult to find solutions to problems that are out-of-the-box.""The solution can be a little more user-friendly on enterprise-level where people use it.""Improve the object renaming ability (it works, but it could be more automated)."
