We performed a comparison between Mirantis Container Cloud and Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Container Security solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable aspect is the excellent support. In addition, the billing system is really easy to understand."
"The solution is scalable and we have plans to increase usage in the future."
"I think the volume binding is a really interesting feature."
"The most valuable feature is its ease of use."
"Mirantis Container Cloud operates similarly to how we interact with databases. It provides a comprehensive platform for deploying and managing containerized applications across cloud environments."
"The solution containerizes software."
"The UI is very useful."
"One of the most valuable feature is its scalability because it is easy to work with. Even though I haven't fully removed it before, it's simple to get started and develop further. It's comparable to working with languages like C++ and Python. Python. It is easy to understand and more user-friendly."
"In addition to that, I can get a snapshot of what I deemed were the priority vulnerabilities, whether it was identity access management, key rotation, or secrets management. Whatever you deem to be a priority for mitigating threats for your environment, you can get that as a snapshot."
"What I like most about Prisma Cloud is its zero-day signatures, maximum security, minimal downtime, cloud visibility, control, and ease of deployment."
"Prisma Cloud's inventory reporting is pretty good."
"My favorite feature is the CWPP module. We can define various kinds of rules for vulnerabilities, incidents, or suspicious activities."
"The most valuable feature of Prisma Cloud is WAF (web application firewall)."
"This solution helped us by allowing us to schedule and fix things. This is not an easy thing if you're managing 1,000 plus resources."
"I found the network queue sets useful. I also liked the Workload Protection Module, the vulnerability findings, and how the rule sets handle the vulnerabilities based on severity."
"The application visibility is amazing. For example, sometimes we don't know what a particular custom port is for and what is running on it. The visibility enables us to identify applications, what the protocol is, and what service is behind it. Within Azure, it is doing a great job of providing visibility. We know exactly what is passing through our network. If there is an issue of any sort we are able to quickly detect it and fix the problem."
"This product will only be useful if it can successfully run legacy applications in the cloud."
"The solution would benefit in improvements made to the storage, cleaning up information from the disk, and reading logs."
"I think this solution needs better security due to more risks from the outside world."
"I feel that the product lacks to offer a proper health status of the images which are running, making it an area where improvements are required."
"In my previous years, I have brainstormed about the development of Container software. I have recently shifted focus, but the knowledge gained from those were really helpful. In my experience, Containers have their own complexities and to implement them, open source information is crucial. A software with new features would be beneficial. I suggest to implement a flow-based approach for container sequences, similar to Google Cloud's machine learning. The current process of deploying containers involves too many steps, and a more streamlined method would be appreciated. I've even automated deployment using APIs. Overall, simplifying container management and deployment processes would be valuable."
"It would be very nice to have a GUI that can be used by any administrator, and not just people who have experience with Docker."
"The solution's stability could be improved."
"I would also like to see more features inside Docker as well as more integration with different solutions."
"Based on my experience, the customization—especially the interface and some of the product identification components—is not as customizable as it could be. But it makes up for that with the fact that we can access the API and then build our own systems to read the data and then process and parse it and hand it to our teams."
"One of the main backlogs in their development is in the area of integration. For example, we have ServiceNow in place for ticket management and Prisma Cloud is supposed to send closure emails for incidents. But from time to time, it fails to do so. We have several other mismatches between Prisma Cloud and ServiceNow."
"The pricing for the solution needs improvement."
"Prisma Cloud lags behind in terms of security automation capabilities."
"The access controls for our bank roles were not granular enough. We needed specific people to do particular actions, and we often had to give some people way too much access for them to be able to do what they needed in Prisma. They couldn't do their jobs if they didn't have that level of access, so other people had to do that part for them. It would help to have more granular role-based access controls."
"The dashboard can be created at the user level instead of the cloud account level, which will help save time."
"Areas like the deployment of their defenders and their central control need manual intervention. They should focus more on automation. They have a very generic case for small companies. However, for bigger companies to work, we have to do a lot of changes to our system to accommodate it. Therefore, they should change their system or deployment models so it can be easy to integrate into existing architectures."
"For some custom policies, we need more features."
