We performed a comparison between Palo Alto Networks Panorama and Tufin Orchestration Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Firewall Security Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable feature is WildFire."
"Technical support is quite helpful."
"The most valuable feature of Palo Alto Networks Panorama is the simplicity of rule management. Both this device group and template management are very easy to use."
"On the one or two occasions that I had to make use of technical support, I felt it to be pretty good."
"I would improve the management. I need to view charts and traffic statistics, but the management console doesn't share that information with me."
"The product can scale."
"It's easy to deploy any software or policies."
"The initial setup isn't very complex, it's user-friendly."
"The reports that this solution provides are very useful."
"It gives our firewall administrators visibility into the total infrastructure."
"It is an important application for controlling and monitoring firewall rules. It is useful for making and monitoring the changes."
"It provides a real-time sense of how the policies are configured and whether there are any shadow rules. Another great thing is that it provides greater reporting based on how the rules have been set up."
"We've scaled it to hundreds of firewalls."
"The technical support is pretty good."
"The biggest benefit for us was the time frame to complete a ticket. It went from approximately a week and a half to two weeks down to about three days."
"My team uses it heavily to audit the changes made by junior engineers, going back and figuring out what they messed up, and correcting their mistakes. We generate reports for customer compliance and audits, as well as for regulatory audits."
"Sometimes in Palo Alto Networks Panorama, we receive issues where it is overloaded and unresponsive. We have issues with accessing the devices due to a slow response from Panorama."
"The implementation is not that easy."
"The dual WAN functionality is missing in this solution."
"Its scalability can be improved. It is too expensive to scale it in the way Palo Alto wants us to scale. Scalability is one of the main reasons why our customer is looking for alternatives. It is too expensive to scale. Its redundancy also requires improvement, but it seems that in the latest version, redundancy is improved, and you can have more than two devices in an HA pair. So, they are heading in that direction. It would be good if they combine their dynamic list functionality in a much better way with Panorama and include it as out-of-the-box functionality. Palo Alto supports the dynamic list functionality for some basic threats, but there is a lot of scope for improvement."
"The solution could improve by having a true single pane of glass environment for unified management. At the present time, you still have to use three or four different solutions to bring everything together."
"It would be beneficial to improve the capabilities of Panorama to handle logs more efficiently, potentially reducing the need for additional local collectors. Adding more predefined dashboards as features would enhance the monitoring and reporting capabilities."
"Storage in Palo Alto Networks Panorama needs improvement. My company also experienced deployment issues when the product was first installed, particularly when binding with the firewall. It's not as user-friendly because not everyone can deploy it without some knowledge."
"The pricing of the solution could be considered an area of improvement, as it is a comprehensive and feature-rich product that may include features that are not needed by some companies."
"The reporting function could improve in Tufin. For our clients with companies that have strong compliance, reporting privacy data is mostly a problem. In the IT department, private data needs a function that one person can analyze it. It requires multiple people to analyze the data."
"It could be a little more intuitive."
"With scalability, we are going to run into some issues. We have been talking about converting over to actual hardware as opposed to virtual. Therefore, I don't think we are scalable at this time, especially with the updates coming. I'm told that they're going to need a lot more horsepower to push them."
"I would like the application to have faster response times. E.g., the dashboard may take up to two minutes to load. Or, when we do the topology seating its two and a half hours. I would like to get those times down and increase the efficiency of the product there."
"They are sort of at the pilot stage on some of their products. I saw the Orca and Iris products yesterday. My initial impression of these products were that they were good products, but I felt like some of their features overlapped with SecureTrack and SecureChange, which they are already doing. So, I just wondered what direction they're going in? I understand that they are cloud products, but are these security products going to overlap each other's features at some point? This is my initial concern."
"The metrics need improvement. They need more consistency or understanding of automation, along lines of customization of automation."
"The change impact analysis doesn't even get close to actually solving our problems. I am not impressed with it."
"I would like something that addresses security in the cloud."
