Pros
"I am impressed with the tool's technical alliance with Veeam and Veritas.""While the challenges posed by the difficulties were significant, they prompted the replacement of problematic components, resulting in the resolution of issues. Importantly, there were no substantial ongoing concerns. Regarding the overall performance, it has been consistently excellent."

"The tool's most valuable feature is recovery.""There are a lot of new features that operate to protect the data from ransomware attacks. They launched the Veritas/Appliances to protect our data. Veritas has been doing its job well.""If you use the NetBackup Appliance you do not need to have separate media servers and hardware. You can configure the same storage as a media server and master server as well as a storage port. This helps to reduce the hardware costs of the media server.""The most valuable features of Veritas NetBackup Appliance are the ease of use and the familiar interface.""I think the solution is very intuitive, effective, and easy to use.""The policy-based backup feature is very helpful.""Veritas NetBackup Appliance is a total backup solution. We don't have to buy other applications to do it.""I have no stability issues to report...The initial setup is quite simple."

Cons
"The product needs to improve performance while scaling out. It also needs to improve stability.""Perhaps the most notable area for enhancement lies in the web interface for management. The current limitations in LDAP editing capabilities are not addressed in the UI, and I haven't observed any recent updates. It's possible that the new version of the DXI service incorporates improvements in the GUI, but I cannot confirm. While there is room for improvement in the current GUI, it remains a relatively minor issue. Overall, the system is comprehensive, covering aspects such as reports on latency and networking, leaving little room for additional enhancements in those areas."

"The challenge arose due to a space issue. The issue was related to disk breaks, especially when power cuts occurred. One of the disks would break, leading to a loss of functionality.""It could be better integrated with other platforms.""I would like the ability to recover a single folder within the backup of a virtual machine.""The upgrade process of the solution needs to be improved since it is extremely complicated, especially without the benefit of a support person who can guide one through it.""Veritas NetBackup would benefit from better explained error codes.""Sometimes, the user interface doesn't work smoothly.""I would like to see a product that requires less expertise to manage it.""NetBackup Appliance's pricing is reasonable, but it could be lower."
