We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is parameterized so it naturally has the ability to parameterize, configure, and adapt to various organizational procedures.""The initial setup is not complex. The deployment process was relatively straightforward.""The accounting part and the procurement part are most valuable. It is a very good system with workflows and notifications.""The most valuable feature of Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management is the business intelligence module. Additionally, report consolidation, cloud access, and analysis are useful."

"The solution can easily be standardized across processes.""The product connects to every software.""This is a robust and feature-rich solution.""The payroll solution and the localization for advances are valuable.""It provides one overview of the capacity planning.""The solution is quite scalable.""SAP ERP provides the perfect database and options for additional production. It's also good for finance analytics, production drill-down, and other types of analysis.""Control and governance are the best features."

Cons
"It is not suitable for corporate or manufacturing companies. For example, it's challenging to use it for a manufacturing company.""Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management could improve the search functionality. For example, if I was to search for a transaction from last year it would be difficult to accomplish. I have to scroll through to find what I am looking for. The approach should be more similar to Quickbooks where when you search for something it takes you directly to the searched item.""The solution does not have a solid, out-of-the-box API architecture that is supported.""Its implementation process is kind of complicated. If the person implementing it doesn't know what he is doing, the system can have many issues. Sage X3 is just an accounting system. As compared to Oracle E-Business Suite, it does not cover a lot of functionality. It doesn't have the payroll, lease management, and HR modules. Oracle E-Business Suite is better than Sage X3."

"It has a high cost.""More integrations and built-in integrations with other environments and products are needed.""In general, a user should attend training before they can use this platform. There's definitely a learning curve. As a new user or employee, there may be some difficulty with onboarding.""It would also help if it were more open, more flexible, with more standard products.""It is a little difficult to use.""The problem with SAP is that whenever there is a modification, or if a new field needs to be added, they charge tens of thousands, hundreds, or even two hundred thousand dollars. That is not anything in which I am really interested. For instance, consider a single-use case. I have to enter the root causes for a certain operation or failure. That option does not exist anywhere in SAP, not in manufacturing, not in logistics, not in anything. It is completely missing. The root cause analysis is very common across industries, yet SAP does not offer this option. A line field or a metaparticle, for example, was delayed. If you have the choice to input the warehouse operator or if the person who submitted the document has the opportunity to enter, this has been postponed for N, X, Y, or Z reasons.""ERP could use better integration with other systems.""SAP ERP is scalable. We have some five to ten thousand SAP ERP users."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is very cheap. There are no additional charges, but the problem is that you have to acquire an additional supporting system such as a budgeting system. You will have to implement the integration and maintain two systems. So, you need to pay for the license of that budgeting system and this one. You also need to pay the license for the payroll and integration. There are all these integrations that you have to pay for."
  • "The solution delivers the same capabilities of SAP or Oracle at about 30% to 40% of the cost."
  • "The price of this solution is expensive. However, it depends on the number of branches used. The price can be upwards of $40,000 annually."
  • "The cost is not expensive."

  • "SAP ECC is not cheap but I consider it the best system for managing an organization's data and processes."
  • "This is a costly product."
  • "There are licensing costs."
  • "Some components are available at an additional cost, depending on the type of contract that you have."
  • "The licensing costs are slightly on the higher side. They need to make it more competitive."
  • "SAP is a bit on the costly side, but they also provide support and other things. We are paying for licenses and the use of the cloud."
  • "SAP ERP is expensive."
  • "When you have a solution that is stable, reliable, and has a high performance as this solution, the price is going to be expensive. However, when you evaluate the service you are paying for the cost is quite reasonable for this solution."
