We performed a comparison between SentinelOne Singularity Complete and SonicWall Capture Client based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The setup is pretty simple."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"The stability is very good."
"Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."
"The tool has helped us streamline and centralize things with a single solution. We are a small organization with a handful of people managing multiple sites. It is a simple tool with an easy-to-use UI. The product has an intuitive and up-to-date GUI."
"One of the features that convinced us to adopt SentinelOne was that the solution can recognize and respond to attacks with or without a network connection. That is very important."
"The most valuable features are threat hunting, the ability to disconnect or disable a machine's network connection in real time, and the ability to restore the connection once the issue is resolved quickly."
"The protection SentinelOne Singularity Complete provides to our endpoint devices in terms of cybersecurity is valuable."
"The process visualization, automated response, and snapshotting are valuable. The integration and automation possibilities are also valuable."
"The ability to quickly and easily identify threats on our machines is valuable. The fact that it protects the environment as a whole is also valuable. They have the ability to identify network nodes, and they have Ranger as a component of the solution that allows us to see the whole picture. We can see on what we have SentinelOne and on what we do not."
"The solution has helped reduce our alerts."
"Our organizational risk has been reduced."
"The solution serves as a very stable platform."
"Overall, what I love the most about SonicWall Capture Client is its management console. SonicWall Capture Client also has the intelligence to tell you which computer is online, what OS it uses, etc. I also found the rollback feature and SentinelOne integration valuable in SonicWall Capture Client. Rollback is a powerful feature of the solution because it's similar to locking your endpoint during an attack, so you won't have to pay the hackers, particularly during ransomware attacks. That feature in SonicWall Capture Client allows you to get back your endpoint or make your endpoint right again after an attack. I also like that it isn't complex to remove the engine error from the endpoint because you only have to provide the security key from SonicWall Capture Client, so the process is simple. It's not complex."
"The most valuable features of SonicWall Capture Client are CSC (Capture Security Center), RTDMI (Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection), and the deep memory inspection feature."
"SonicWall Capture Client has a serial number to connect to your firewall."
"SonicWall Capture Client's scalability is nice."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"The solution is not stable."
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"Detections could be improved."
"The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud."
"FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."
"The false positive rate has room for improvement."
"Interoperability with other SentinelOne solutions and other third-party tools is an area where you can run into some issues. Because of the way the agent works, there are sometimes things that are blocked or prevented from happening that are not identified as a threat, and therefore, not alerted in the console. Sometimes, we do have to dig through the logs, run tests, and adjust the whitelisting or exclusions to make sure that other applications will run properly."
"The process of uninstalling and reinstalling older agent updates needs improvement."
"The solution can improve by adding more granular firewall capabilities."
"With respect to product patches, it should have the ability to patch directly from SentinelOne, rather than be presented with a list and have to do it separately."
"One thing I don't like is the exportable report. They're they're not as useful as I'd hoped they would be."
"If they can extend their product further on the DLP side of it so that I don't have to have another agent run exclusively for DLP production, that would be ideal."
"My biggest complaint is that when you're logged into the console there is the Help section where you can review all the documentation. But when you log in to the support portal, there is documentation there as well. They need to sync those two into one place so that I don't have to search in two different locations for an answer."
"They should improve their user interface."
"It takes technical support too long to resolve an issue."
"An area for improvement in SonicWall Capture Client is TenantCloud support. Suppose you want to implement SonicWall Capture Client. You'll have to register it on MySonicWall. Then once your SonicWall Capture Client license expires and you don't want to renew it, you can't delete it from your MySonicWall account, so that's an area for improvement."
"SonicWall Capture Client could be made a little lighter than it currently is in terms of memory consumption."
"The biggest issue with SonicWall Capture Client is network latency."
"The vulnerability reports need to be better. Windows Defender detected some issues that SonicWall Capture Client couldn't."
