We performed a comparison between Seqrite Endpoint Security Cloud and Trend Micro Apex One based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike and others in Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP)."The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks."
"Additionally, when it comes to EDR, there are more tools available to assist with client work."
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"This is stable and scalable."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."
"The solution installs very easily."
"It's a stable solution, to date we have not had any issues."
"The antivirus itself is also lightweight. It does not hamper the performance. It is not resource-hungry. It does not impact the overall performance of the device. It is just there, and it is easy to use."
"I like One Endpoint Security's playbooks because they make it easier to set rules and policies. You can customize the playbooks and use them in more than one company. If you manage multiple businesses, it's a great way to set separate policies for each group. You can check for vulnerabilities, attacks, bugs, or anything strange. It also allows you to conduct performance analysis."
"Its threat-hunting capabilities and the information about the known threats are the most available features. It can easily catch any threat in our environment."
"The most valuable feature is the antivirus."
"Trend Micro Apex One is a seamless solution compared to others."
"It's made it easier for us to monitor the security environment in general."
"The XDR feature which provides us with real visibility into our environment is the most valuable."
"Detections could be improved."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"The security is too week and needs improvement."
"Trend Micro Apex One could include more in-depth endpoint protection."
"The integration could improve in this solution."
"Trend Micro Apex One should have a DLP (Data loss prevention) module."
"Apex One uses a lot of RAM and other physical resources, and I also don't like the web interface."
"I want more options and flexibility when creating rules. I want to set rules that are contingent, like "If this happens, then this, this, and this will happen.""
"Sometimes it will not communicate with the server, and we need to manually restart items."
"The CPU usage when scanning is too high and we have run into bottlenecks were it consumes a lot of CPU time."
"When I was setting this up for one of my clients, I was not able to deploy the DLP."
