We performed a comparison between Statseeker and Zabbix based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Network Monitoring Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The single dashboard is a valuable feature."
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."
"This solution allowed us to track down trouble users."
"The monitoring provided by this solution helps us to track down and solve issues."
"Summary Reports provide a quick way to identify where potential issues are. Drill-downs provide more granular details very quickly."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the simplicity of adding new devices into it."
"The most valuable feature is alerting."
"We are now able to easily track where problems are with bandwidth and port errors, rather than having to do a lot of diagnostics."
"The graphics and trends are the most valuable for us."
"It is fairly simple and easy to use as an all-purpose network monitor."
"The solution is open-source, easy to manage, and user-friendly making it easy for anyone to use."
"Setup was straightforward. Initial deployment took two or three months."
"The calculations part is the most valuable."
"The flexible licensing model is one of the solution's most valuable aspects. It really allows for great flexibility for companies."
"We use Zabbix to monitor our organization's IT infrastructure and workstations. We don't use Microsoft Intune since it's expensive. The tool's real-time alerting system has proved crucial for us, particularly when a new device joins a network that is not one of our own devices. It notifies us about the presence of this new device, allowing us to investigate further. Additionally, it alerts us about disk usage, memory usage, and the software installed on the machine."
"It meets my organizational needs. It's pretty easy to use."
"Health and communication links availability."
"Zabbix is an excellent performance monitoring tool."
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."
"The technical support needs improvement."
"The user interface needs to be made more intuitive."
"It would be nice if they had twenty-four-hour technical support because we contact Australia and we have to wait for them to open."
"I would like to see some layer two and layer three topology mappings, similar to what NNMi and SolarWinds presents."
"I'd say the interface could improve a little bit. I find with new users, I tend to have to spend a bit of time walking them through how to use the interface. It could be a little more user friendly."
"It could use more features on Netflow analyser, such as time series graphs and a single network export UDP port and UDP forwarding."
"That user interface for selecting things needs to be a little more intuitive."
"I would like to have soft alarming. If an inner-base all of a sudden triggers a threshold, we have to rely on a lot of other tools and then we go into Statseeker to verify it. If Statseeker would confirm it preemptively and trigger it into our network panel, that would be nice."
"It doesn't do absolutely everything and it will require some additional software or hardware support to be a complete single solution."
"The main problem with Zabbix is that you have to spend time writing templates for all of the products that you have."
"I want Zabbix to improve the UX/UI. Zabbix doesn't use a JavaScript chart for images, and I want them to improve this."
"There are areas of improvement. The database grows really fast. So, when you install Zabbix, you have to deal with some issues, like the database. We become pretty big very fast."
"The product delivers false positives during reporting because of flapping. Other reasonably priced alternatives may have better performance."
"Its UI needs to be improved a little bit more so that an end-user is also able to handle it. I can handle it, but others should also be able to handle it in a better way. It becomes complex when we are growing and need to add proxies. We need more scalability features and documentation for different use cases. A lot of articles are available, but they need to be in proper documentation. For example, when you have thousands of servers that have to be monitored in different regions of the world, there should be some kind of documentation to describe how you can create proxies and add them. Sometimes, when you are using the database, it can get overloaded. When the network is growing, the number of transactions becomes very high, and the database gets overloaded. There should be information about how to reduce the load on the MySQL database, which is what Zabbix is using. The market is growing a lot, and it should be enhanced for a lot more things. We are currently bringing enhancements at our end for different use cases. For example, when dockerization is going on, how can we check the logs inside the Dockers. We should also be able to monitor and check the number of logins and add features such as SSO login and two-factor authentication as a protocol. These are the security features and concerns that we have to deal with. Currently, we are developing modules to add features to Zabbix, but they should also work on these features."
"The solution needs to add remote features."
"The user interface could be better."
"The GUI could be more intuitive. Also, we'd like streaming telemetry. Zabbix might have this feature, but I haven't seen it yet. It took us a long time to get started because the documentation isn't very descriptive. We had to go through various sources like YouTube and forums to get this solution working."
