Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure.""NGAV and EDR features are outstanding.""I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks.""It is stable and scalable.""The solution was relatively easy to deploy.""Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution.""The price is low and quite competitive with others.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."

"It is easy to learn. In just two or three hours, our system administrator could learn how to use it. It is easy to integrate and easy to manage.""We've been able to integrate the solution with other security products.""The number of accessories included is the most valuable feature.""I have found Trend Micro Apex One to be secure.""The most valuable features are web application features and real-time scans.""The most valuable feature is that it's normal, and not for a specific server.""Many features that this solution has, competitors lack. The feature I think is quite good is data loss prevention.""Technical support is quite knowledgeable and helpful."

Cons
"The solution is not stable.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting.""Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office.""We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""Detections could be improved."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"One of our firewalls once detected a threat, but Apex One did not detect it.""There is room for improvement in the behavior filtering and control of Trend Micro.""Occasionally, the system may be a bit slow.""Trend Micro Apex One could include more in-depth endpoint protection.""While the single console offers partial end-to-end visibility into our IT security environment, we leverage additional solutions to achieve comprehensive coverage, so this area can be improved by Apex One.""We're not sure if we're going to continue with those products or their products or we're going to switch to something else. That's why we stopped the immigration process. If we were going to replace another product, it's not really efficient to waste time on it moving patients and other clients.""The tool needs to improve its dashboard so that all the products can be managed from a single console.""The integration could improve in this solution."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

Trend Micro Apex One offers advanced threat protection, endpoint detection and response, and malware safeguarding. Key features include robust antivirus, behavior monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and a centralized management console. Organizations benefit from improved efficiency, productivity, and strategic insights, enhancing overall security and operational workflows.
