We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's easy to manage.""This product offers an alternative solution to other UEM (Unified Endpoint Management) solutions.""Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly.""It's really easy to access.""We are using the mobile feature, and we are also using MDM to lock the devices, to push restrictions, et cetera""The feature I like the most is that we can perform remote tasks. If we want to retire or wipe out personal data or corporate data from a device, we can use Microsoft Intune remotely, and with the click of a button, data is removed automatically. Nothing needs to be done from the end-user side.""We have not experienced any bugs or glitches with this solution.""The solution has reduced the risk of security breaches by 30%."

"Can manage a large fleet of devices without any outside interference."

More ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus Pros →

"In terms of valuable features, we liked the lock feature, the roll-out white feature, and the find feature. I think that Sophos had a GPS locator, so you could figure out where the phone was from a GPS location.""The management and enrollment process is great, and with the asset management and instant action menu, we can easily maintain and support the users.""The initial setup process is straightforward and fast.""The solution provides us with data protection.""The solution is quite user-friendly.""Sophos can block the Wi-Fi connection on a mobile device. That's one feature we wanted, but the main thing is the ability to disable the device if it's lost or stolen. We need to shut down PayPal, so it can't be used to make unauthorized purchases.""The most valuable feature is the mobile device management capability. You can easily manage all of your mobile devices.""I like the level of interaction that the product offers with the other products in our company's environment."

Cons
"It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools. The Windows feature updates are very difficult to implement. I would like to see a proprietary built-in remote control tool. I know that they have Team Viewer integrated, but it is not seamless. It would be nice if they had a seamless remote desktop capability directly from the Intune console.""The solution could improve its flexibility.""There can be some added features, such as an improved dashboard. Any new feature that could be a benefit to our customers would be good.""An issue we have run into with Microsoft Endpoint Manager is that we cannot patch third-party products like Adobe and Chrome with it.""The add-ons must be integrated into the solution.""I wanted to check if there is any provision at the Intune level to restrict certain things, such as a website, but unfortunately, that feature is available only in Microsoft Defender. Intune has web filtering capabilities, but they are only useful for protection from malicious websites, whereas we would like to be able to restrict a website. For example, YouTube is a clean website. No one would identify it as a malicious website, but if we want to stop the end-users from going to that website, we have to go for another product, such as Microsoft Defender or another third-party proxy solution. It would be great if this capability is included in Intune.""Lacks the ability to deploy more ways of management, managing devices and processing the policies.""Intune could add more Linux security features and more integration with on-prem devices. The application deployments can also be improved."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The features of Sophos Mobile could improve. The way the system works together could be better. Additionally, the integration with other Sophos products could improve.""We would like to see graphics showing the use of each device.""For Sophos Mobile, it is difficult to get good support.""To manage the Apple devices is not that straightforward there are a lot of features the other third parties solutions are offering which Sophos Mobile is not.""Our support reps are based in the Philippines, and it's hard to connect with them sometimes. It took me about two months to resolve my issue, so it wasn't a good experience.""There may be necessary adjustments that need to be made because we are facing certain restrictions within the work profile.""It could be more secure.""They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus is an enterprise mobile device management solution that is designed to enhance employee productivity without compromising on corporate security.

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and security solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints. The only UEM solution that integrates natively with a leading next-gen endpoint security platform, Sophos Mobile supports management of Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
