We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Salesforce is such a widespread software in terms of what it can do and its scope. Theoretically, you can run a whole company off of it. There are many valuable features, such as reporting and analytics. You can customize almost the whole environment is what appeals to so many companies the most.""The performance is good, and it is easy to use.""The automation of Salesforce Sales Cloud makes the process very easier to focus on leads and converts them automatically to accounts, contacts, and opportunities.""The reporting is easy and helpful.""The product is very fast and responsive. There's no lag time when you are on the platform.""I would rate Salesforce Sales Cloud's scalability as very good. We have scaled from 30 to 150 within three years without a glitch.""I like that Salesforce is ERP agnostic. In the past and at different companies, I have implemented new or replacement ERPs. It's best in class. I like that it's a SaaS. I like that it can work on any device—any Windows, Android, or Apple device.""The most valuable features are custom objects, custom workflows, triggering, and integration with other SaaS solutions."

"It gives us full control over each change, to the level of the individual field in a master record, including certificates.""Finance view across functions is valuable.""The new Visual Enterprise functionalities give an intuitive approach to data and make communication between engineering and production easy.""The transactional integration of operations is the best-recommended feature of this product. It provides integration of all operational modules.""SAP ERP's interface is pretty easy nowadays, as it has evolved over time and has been made as user-friendly as a person would like it.""MDG provides a central location for governance of the creation/updating processes of master data. It allows you to change several fields in the same object. For example, we can change a field on the purchasing view and change another field on an accounting view to the same material at the same time.""SAP ERP is one of the most well-integrated solutions with all of the applications in my company, making it one of the most advantageous traits of the product.""Everyone who uses SAP ERP has benefited from the functionality."

Cons
"The solution could improve the partner management and communities. For the enterprise licenses, we have the help, but it should also be extended with the features to the partner community.""Sales Cloud could improve in areas such as AI integration, particularly for templates.""The tool's technical challenges vary depending on the requirements. When a new requirement arises, we must analyze the best approach to address it, whether through automation tools or coding. We encounter limitations such as the number of reports we can process or update, the queries we can write, and other similar constraints. Understanding when to utilize coding and when to rely on simple configurations is crucial.""If they could have convenient APIs into the other parts of the corporation that I wish to share data with, that would be helpful.""I need to do a lot of customization to implement an ERP solution for an energy and utilities client versus a BFS client. Salesforce should look at the common customizations each client wants and see how much of that can be standardized into industry-specific specific solutions. That would speed up implementation, so we don't need to go through the same steps a hundred times. Salesforce could do it once and put it out for the rest of the clients to use it.""Salesforce is a powerful tool and you need specialists to create or to develop new functionalities. It is a difficult platform to learn to manage and you need years to know the whole product.""The monitoring is very good, but it could be better.""In the next release, I would like to see more integration."

"The UI could use improvement.""It needs a more complete guidance with complete processes. Right now, it only has single transactions.""It's difficult to code; structured language is difficult.""I always prefer using an S/4HANA system.""This solution could be made more user-friendly for development teams.""I think that implementation could be simplified.""The solution is not ready for the current e-commerce environment.""It is a little difficult to use."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The subscription is on a monthly basis."
  • "The main issue is the price. Because it's SaaS, you will have to pay on a monthly or yearly basis."
  • "It is a premium product, so it is not the cheapest solution. I think if it's implemented well, and you're getting the soft cost benefits, the efficiencies, it's justified. But not if you're looking at just apples for apples as a subscription, without the complexity that you can achieve. It can deal with complex business requirements. Some other CRMs can't. But you certainly pay, so it's a premium-charged solution. It's one of the more expensive ones."
  • "I have found Salesforce Sales Cloud to be expensive. However, it is the number one CRM solution in the world. It is worth the money."
  • "The main thing is it is costly. Salesforce it is not cheap, it's costly. Some of our customers say it is a costly solution. So, we have lost some sale opportunities regarding the high price. This is the main thing that we are facing. It is sales per user and the user price is about $150 per month, per user for the Enterprise Edition. The other edition is less than this, but it is costly. A company that has 70 or 80 users would pay more than $8,000 USD yearly because it is cloud based."
  • "My understanding is that Salesforce is a little bit expensive, but in terms of the efficiencies, automation, and visibility, I think it's definitely value for money."
  • "Implementation and add-ons may be additional costs."
  • "Being license based, the license varies by type. The pricing is considered average."

  • "SAP ECC is not cheap but I consider it the best system for managing an organization's data and processes."
  • "This is a costly product."
  • "There are licensing costs."
  • "Some components are available at an additional cost, depending on the type of contract that you have."
  • "The licensing costs are slightly on the higher side. They need to make it more competitive."
  • "SAP is a bit on the costly side, but they also provide support and other things. We are paying for licenses and the use of the cloud."
  • "SAP ERP is expensive."
  • "When you have a solution that is stable, reliable, and has a high performance as this solution, the price is going to be expensive. However, when you evaluate the service you are paying for the cost is quite reasonable for this solution."
