We performed a comparison between Skybox Security Suite and Tufin Orchestration Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Firewall Security Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."When you import all the assets that you have, like desktops, servers, networks, devices, routers, and then firewalls, and other products, then Skybox makes like, a model of the network, but with context. So, it is not just a model in VIZIO. Or something like it like that. You get the model with context, and, like, it looks like a real network in a real-time. So you can check your network and the security of your network on that model."
"Robust modules can be used for different parts of network security."
"We use Network Assurance for network visualisation and troubleshooting."
"Skybox deployment is simple, and it's very useful."
"The most valuable features are the rule compliance and the OS vulnerability checks."
"The revalidation and policy recertifications are most valuable."
"We are currently working on rule review and compliance. The logging features are good."
"It's given us more visibility in terms of what are the kinds of configurations that are on these devices, and how many of these are stale rules. So it's helped greatly in terms of cleaning up of rules, for sure. And it has definitely given us a more secure way of backing up the configuration on these devices."
"It is extremely scalable. It really addresses the scale of a company's firewall footprint."
"The most valuable features are the GUI interface and the API."
"The most valuable feature of Tufin is we have better visibility and management of our file infrastructure."
"The Automatic Policy Generator saves time because we are able to identify the required policy when a client doesn't know what he needs."
"I like the policy topology map, which allows us to visualize the picture of the security policy of the whole organization."
"This solution helps us ensure that security policy is followed across our entire hybrid network. You can have a Unified Security Policy which reaches across all networks, so if you are having a change submitted, it doesn't matter if you're enforcing it or not. You can get an alert saying, "This is a violation." That's a value-add."
"The reporting on offer is very good. Tufin makes nice reports."
"The most valuable feature of Tufin is security auditing. We are able to check the rules and compliance of the company, for example, what is allowed or not. We are able to check the rules over different gateways and set over firewalls."
"The price could be cheaper."
"Modifications and the deletion of existing policies are currently unavailable."
"Skybox Security Suite can improve the change management module. It is the one part of the tool that is used with the firewall devices and you have a change management module that is used to record changes of all firewalls in the company. It's not compatible with all brands, this is where they can improve the solution."
"The stability is something that is questionable. I don't know whether it is because of the kind of infrastructure we have or because of the product in itself. We're running it on a virtual machine right now. Maybe once a month, or once in every 45 days, it requires a restart because the application fails to connect. So I have to restart the whole Skybox Manager itself, the Skybox server itself, and then connect to it from our Skybox Manager."
"The support could be improved."
"The only place where Skybox has room for improvement, and they're working on releasing this, it's just a slow-go, is the UI. The user interface has historically been via a locally installed thick client. They are moving to a web-based console and it's slowly coming out."
"It's expensive."
"They are not satisfied with the complexity of the solution and the price."
"I would like to see better report integration in this solution."
"The hardest piece is getting the matrix built."
"The initial setup can be tough."
"The integration with different products needs to be improved."
"It does not natively support all of the Check Point functions which is a big deal."
"We found some bugs on the software, but we're working with tech support to fix them."
"The initial setup of Tufin was complex. We had some issues with the architecture."
"More API integration with third-party platforms is something that we would definitely like to see in upcoming releases."
