We performed a comparison between Blue Prism and Microsoft Power Automate based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: The two solutions have similar ratings with regard to ease of use and stability. However, Blue Prism seems to be slightly more favorable because even though it is more expensive, it has a lot of great features to offer, and also has good service and support, unlike Microsoft Power Automate.
"The object design way of implementing things actually brings a lot of reusability for us because you can design your objects once and leverage them in multiple automations."
"Blue Prism is stable enough."
"You can easily see where all your problems lie, in a visual way. It's always nice to have a visual representation of things... Seeing things at one glance makes a lot of difference, instead of having to read through the fine print and see where the issues are."
"The tool is very technically sound."
"The only good thing about Blue Prism is the execution speed."
"The solution enables process creation and is object oriented."
"A feature I like about Blue Prism is the Control Room and how easy it is to find exceptions, to find common issues, and to troubleshoot your exceptions. Your Control Room person, without any development skills, can easily pick up what the problem is, with the exceptions, especially when there are a lot of exceptions related to one use case or process."
"Being able to create an object and use it for multiple processes has been very useful for us."
"Technical support is responsive."
"This product has an easy-to-use interface with nice detail in the features."
"It is a low-code platform. It is easy to use and good for automating small tasks such as expense approvals, timesheet approvals, etc."
"The most valuable feature is that it is pretty low-code, so you don't need much coding expertise to use it."
"You can create a flow, and it can be shared across different environments."
"Third-party integrations with third-party applications are quite easy."
"It works best to build cloud flows."
"It is a great solution for simple automation activities or simple automation of simple tasks. It is also integrated with Office 365. Integration is an absolute breeze with any RPA software."
"The tool needs to work on its security aspect since there is a lot of regulatory compliance for enterprises like the GDPR. The product needs to improve the data login policy as well. They also need to come up with a mechanism where every change and upgrade happens within the element of the target application. Our partner struggles to keep up with the cybersecurity guidelines of my company."
"Blue Prism is a little behind Automation Anywhere in the topics related to maintenance and report building."
"Occasionally, there may be stability issues where certain nodes begin to behave erratically and produce errors."
"We had a lot of challenges managing authentication and reusing or using external authentication providers."
"The recording of the transaction is missing in this solution."
"I would like to see wider integration with other products."
"It's not very easy to use. There is some learning curve that you need to manage as an individual."
"Blue Prism needs to provide better customer support because there are some bugs in the product that make implementation tricky. Blue Prism is designed more for operational than transactional processes. If Blue Prism incorporated a lot of IQ bots and cognitive processing, then it might be of better value at a lower cost. The issue of the cost of the tool needs to be addressed. To become a Blue Prism partner, it's costly. I think that this is one of the negative aspects of using Blue Prism."
"I would recommend removing the AI Builder feature from the automatic document processing functionality. The tool can serve even better with free automatic document processing features, it shouldn’t only be available in the trial version."
"Technical support needs to be able to respond quickly to queries. Right now, they are much too slow."
"They can provide a deeper level of feedback about running processes. When I compare it to Blue Prism, the control room has slightly less information about the running processes and possible errors. I'm not a pro, so I am not entirely sure if this is a core feature of the product or if it is because of the way our partners have developed it or set it up."
"The initial setup is complex and has room for improvement."
"Sometimes it can be difficult to share flows for multiple users to edit."
"Microsoft Power Automate is limited if we want to create a complex flow because we have to split the log into two flows."
"Microsoft could offer more AI education and training."
"It would be great if it was able to integrate more with various other platforms. It would make development easier."

Hello,
There is a subtle difference between Microsoft's flagship workflow product Microsoft Power Automate and an Enterprise Robotics Automation Product as Blue Prism.
Well, to begin with, the technical community has attempted to use the Power Automate tool to perform Automation as well, but that's not what it is intended for.
Like any other Workflow Software Tool, Product or Framework, Power Automate is a no-code solution. The business use cases, for which it can be applied are purely workflow scenarios.
E.g., if you raise a Leave request in HR software which eventually gets to your manager for approval or a Retail Loan approval workflow Application (in a Banking Application) that has various levels of verification and validation by various departments and individuals before it is either approved or rejected.
Whereas when we talk about Robotics automation (like Blue Prism) it is a purely out and out Automation software that can automate and mimic all human actions while interacting with an application/software/product in a typical IT-driven organization, eventually requiring no or little human interaction while interacting with an application and can replace the human.
Hope I have answered the question to an extent.
Please do let me know if you have any specific queries you want me to answer.
Thanks.
