We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The key benefit of Intune is its integration with the Microsoft ecosystem.""While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier.""Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy.""The initial setup is not overly complex or difficult.""Stable solution at a good price.""Microsoft's cloud comes with a lot of extra features that are free of charge.""The central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all that needs to be monitored.""Intune enables us to manage our devices from anywhere."

"This solution is very dynamic. I can do what I need to do with it.""Payloads, application publishing, and cataloging features are valuable to our customers.""The most valuable features of 42Gears SureMDM include tracking location and pushing applications.""The solution is stable and reliable.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""The tool's most valuable feature is a remote connection to the devices. You can also push and lock applications. It helps us lock devices for professional use to control which applications can be installed.""Its dashboards are valuable. It is easy to access dashboards and implement policies.""The solution's customer support is good."

"The best feature is its compatibility with various device versions, such as Windows, making it work seamlessly.""The company's support is the best. That'd be the number one thing.""One of the most valuable features is the ability to deploy apps on the fly. We're able to update and deploy new applications, directly from the cloud. That's been a huge feature for us. Instead of putting hands on each of these devices - and we're talking thousands of devices - we can manage it all from the backend.""The most valuable features are remote control, remote monitoring of the mobile phone data, GPS localization, automobile network management, identity management, speaker logging, and remote management of mobile content.""The most valuable features are remote control and geo-fencing.""The most valuable feature is the fact that I can manage my devices remotely.""The SOTI MobiControl Assist tool is very good for remote controlling devices for troubleshooting. SOTI MobiControl is very helpful.""We use SOTI MobiControl for managing Android device management."

Cons
"Sometimes, customers compare it with AirWatch, but the concept of Intune is different from other solutions. It's an application management app. It gets a bit difficult to explain it to customers, but it's not a product limitation. It takes a presale document or presentation to explain it to customers.""Lacking in features such as Wi-Fi and network security.""The configuration and pricing can be improved.""The reporting is subpar. That's the only issue we have with Intune. We use another solution for that purpose.""Integrating certain group policies can be challenging and may necessitate using on-premises systems to integrate them with Microsoft Intune.""Microsoft Intune needs to improve the initial login process.""What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade.""Regarding mobile devices, Intune is good, but there are other services that I would say are ahead of Intune from an administration and reporting point of view."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"As a partner, we consider 42Gears to be a unified endpoint management (UEM) solution. So, we should be able to manage users with this particular solution. This is something that is currently not there. It is probably an area for improvement for 42Gears.""User creation on Mac must be improved.""The product is not so convenient to deploy or to configure.""42Gears SureMDM needs to improve support because it may take around one to two days to receive a revert.""The user interface and customization features are not the best and could be improved.""The dashboards could be improved.""The solution’s pricing could be made cheaper."

More 42Gears SureMDM Cons →

"Reporting could be better. When I try to run a report, it doesn't have a filter or even a feature where I can choose what I have in the report. That's been a struggle since the first time I used it so I just don't touch it anymore.""I would like to see some SMS integration so people can send data directly from a mobile phone through SMS when there's no internet.""There is room for improvement in the support.""The solution could use better reporting.""The previous version, for example, had the networking signal and that feature was great. When we were troubleshooting, we could find the level of the network I/O. If the worker was working in a corner of the warehouse where the signal was not as strong as in another part of the warehouse, we could tell, "Just move a little and you will have coverage for your device." That was great. I don't know why they removed it from the newer version.""SOTI MobiControl could improve by being more user-friendly.""Maybe if there were tiers, it would be better as then companies could lower the pricing by going to the lower deployment model.""You need to get used to the admin console. I think it could be improved. It's not the best I've seen. Certainly, the software has a lot of features so you necessarily have some complexity in the interface, but I've seen better. They could make it easier in certain aspects."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Consider the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite rather than choosing specific sub-components, e.g. only Microsoft Intune."
  • "There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products."
  • "Microsoft Intune is a cost effective choice. It is less expensive than other products on the market."
  • "The purchase of the product was handled by someone else."
  • "I have no comment on pricing of the solution."
  • "The product is offered as part of a Microsoft standard bundle. The pricing can be competitive to Airwatch, and Maas360."
  • "For Microsoft 365 E5 clients, cost is not an issue as this product is one of the benefits."
  • "The price of Intune is included with the license for Office 365, so we don't have to pay anything extra for it."
  • More Microsoft Intune Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "I am satisfied with the price of this solution."
  • "Their pricing structure is very good against the competition. Pricing is definitely not a challenge here."
  • "The tool is expensive and priced at 39 dollars yearly. The pricing is fixed and I would rate it a seven-point five out of ten."
  • "We pay a yearly licensing fee for 42Gears SureMDM, which is comparatively expensive for an enterprise license."
  • "I rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
  • "There is an option to make yearly or monthly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. Price-wise, the product is okay."
  • More 42Gears SureMDM Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Pricing is okay, but when you buy your renewal of licenses - at the end of the period or the year - if you have a lot of devices, obviously, it's going to increase. In the end, it's kind of expensive."
  • "I thought pricing was kind of high, but I believe that Soti is probably the best out there for this type of software, so there's not much I can do about that. The licensing is annual, per device."
  • "They've been pretty flexible with us, because we've changed the way we do our licensing a few times. We did a yearly, and then we went back and we did a quarterly, and I think we're back to yearly right now. We've been able to work stuff out and pricing has gone down since the onset. We've got a better rate per device and it's reasonable. The licensing cost from SOTI usually doesn't scare anybody, away once it's explained."
  • "The solution that we were using costs less, but it didn't offer as much as Soti. It's comparable if you look at it over the five-year term."
  • "There are solutions that can be more aggressively priced, but they may not provide all that SOTI does. It's a matrix regarding what feature you use. You need to compare the features you use and what you are willing to pay for them... SOTI's pricing is okay. It's in the middle... They can provide more aggressive pricing once you start to have a lot of licenses."
  • "The pricing is reasonable and the licensing model is very reasonable when compared to some of the competitors in the market. I can speak directly regarding Intune, which is very expensive compared to SOTI."
  • "It makes sense to have scanners on SOTI MobiControl, but it makes less sense to have printers because there are fewer features for them, while the price is the same for both."
  • "SOTI's pricing seems to be competitive."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

SureMDM is an intuitive and powerful enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution for Android, iOS, and Windows platforms. You can secure, monitor and manage company owned devices for dedicated use as well as employee owned devices used to access company data (BYOD). SureMDM incorporates all aspects of EMM such as Mobile Application Management, Mobile Device Management and Mobile Content Management.
