We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Blue Prism is able to scale up at an enterprise-level. It's what I used when I was working for a big bank in Belgium.""I would say that the stability of Blue Prism is superior to any of the competing products because of the maintainability of the features and the openness of the tool.""It's easy to use, the interface, the the the the queries is which we use. It's user friendly.""Blue Prism offers the whole package for LPR developers. It's a useful tool to automate anything. As an LPR developer, I think the most important feature is that it lets you get anything into blocks of code that you can use anywhere.""The solution is very complete. It's a good solution, for the kind of features that they offer.""With Blue Prism, I like the feature that you build, I don't know the exact name now, but blocks or standards can be reduced later. You configure, for example, the CRM system, and you create a standardized manner of inputting data into the CRM system that you can reuse later. I'm not sure what that's called, but I enjoy it whether it's a feature or not.""This product has additional functionality over Blue Prism Cloud Enterprise.""The technical support team of Blue Prism Cloud is very good...I rate the support a ten out of ten."

"The program requires no code making it very easy to implement various functions.""The technical support is good.""AI Builder is a good add-on.""It is quick, so I'm quite happy with it. It is also easy to use.""Overall, it is a great service at the given price. It is very modern, and it integrates in a great way with pretty much anything. It is also fast.""WinAutomation is very handy to use, and it has the power to interact with multiple systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or .NET systems.""It is a stable solution.""The initial setup isn't too difficult."

Cons
"The issue is that it is not dynamic or intelligent.""I would like to see a web-based control room, rather than the one that is in-built with the desktop version.""The pricing was a bit high, from what I understand. That might have played a role in the decision to migrate to another solution.""They should work on the solution's pricing.""Several things need improvement, like ease-of-use, adding tended robots, adding process recording, and updating the look and feel so it seems modern.""If Blue Prism could integrate into Azure SQL because it's essentially an on-prem code, on infrastructure as a service. So, Blue Prism has moved the infrastructure into the cloud, but they haven't necessarily moved the application into cloud-native.""The version control could be improved and made consistent. There is a discrepancy between the versions on premise and the cloud versions.""There's a need to deal with unstructured input with RPA."

More Blue Prism Cloud Cons →

"Technical support needs to be able to respond quickly to queries. Right now, they are much too slow.""We expect Microsoft Power Automate to work like any other RPA software, but at present, it is fairly lax, especially in the RPA space. We have a very limited set of use cases today for Microsoft Power Automate. Microsoft should make it a full-featured RPA product like other solutions that we use, such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UiPath. This is predominantly the area that they need to improve on. Microsoft Power Automate is quite complex to use as well, especially if you want to do advanced workflows or advanced automation. The regular simple workflows are quite easy and straightforward, but the moment you want to do something complex, it is almost impossible for one of our employees to work on it.""When compared to other workflow automation tools out there, it's just not as mature.""Power Automate is too complicated - it forces you to go through extra tasks instead of streamlining your workflow.""Enhancing Power Automate to work synchronously instead of asynchronously would eliminate the need for additional coding, saving time in project implementation.""There is an RPA feature gap between this solution and other more mature products.""It should be faster and more user-friendly.""When comparing with Automation Anywhere, there are a couple of things that this product doesn't have. One of the major things is the key management system. It would be great if they improve this. Its documentation can also be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing can be negotiated in situations where there will be heavy usage."
  • "The licensing structure is complex and the minimum contract length is three years."
  • "We pay about $15,000 per quarter in licensing costs. We don't have to pay for any other extra costs. There isn't, for example, an extra cost for technical support. We just pay the licensing."
  • "There are many RPA solutions available from different vendors and the pricing for Blue Prism is competitive."
  • "Annual licensing costs were somewhere between $5,000 - $10,000 for the development tool. For the control tower, I think fees were about $50,000 annually."
  • "This solution comes at a medium to high price point. They need to work on their pricing to enable smaller enterprises to get the benefit of using the product."
  • "When compared with UiPath, I believe it will be difficult for Blue Prism to maintain its market share."
  • "Blue Prism comes at a higher price point compared to other solutions on the market."
