We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"You can connect to any printer, and from anywhere you can print documents using a compressed channel. It is easy and the bandwidth is very low.""Relative to other solutions, Citrix has fewer conditions and fewer parameters. Citrix also provides some flexibility because it can be used on any device.""The most valuable feature is the desktop experience so that users don't see much difference between the remote desktop and the local desktop... It also provides virtualization for high-end graphics so that they can be displayed. AutoCAD can be done on Citrix. The graphics are very good.""Because of the solution's ubiquity, it is easier to find answers to problems than with competitive products.""Among the most valuable features is the Citrix Workspace, which allows us to drive that thin-client connection and the remote control/remote access capabilities. Those things have allowed us to connect an awful lot of people quickly from home and that's obviously helped during the pandemic.""Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is a stable solution.""The most valuable feature has to be the non-persistent desktop. If one of my users messes something up and blows away their desktop, it goes back to what it was originally, before they had an issue.""The Provisioning Services are the most valuable feature. We have Premium licensing, so Provisioning Services is huge for us, along with the Virtual Apps and Desktops part. It allows us to have a vDisk for every region, one that can easily be copied between them if we need to, to limit the amount of updates we have to do."

"The solution is perfect for Linux users.""The most helpful feature of OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is that it allows you to consume heavy applications that usually have a lot of latency. I also like that the solution is fast and has a friendly UI."

Cons
"The monitoring and management is in need of improvement.""Where improvement could be driven is in terms of clarity as to the functionality of some of the solutions. If you go back to the older Citrix Xen products that we had, we understood those really well. As we've come into the new workstation premium suite, there is a lot of additional functionality that we perhaps have not yet fully exploited. It is not because we can't, but simply because we don't yet understand the depth of functionality that's offered.""Licensing service installation and configuration was the biggest challenge for all Citrix solutions, but now they have fixed a lot of issues.""The Endpoint Management solution needs improvement when it comes to mobile device management. For example, they are still not supporting Windows 10 and this feature is required by many customers.""If Citrix can develop something which can have more reach towards the backend infrastructure, other components of the Citrix environment, that would be ideal.""The product advances really fast. For some customers, we need better backwards compatibility.""Tech support can be slow if you do not receive help from the US representatives.""Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops are not easy to set up. However, I have the experience and I can do it easily. It could be easier to set up."

More Citrix DaaS (formerly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service) Cons →

"The performance of the graphical interface needs improvement. They should add some CPU to speed graphic acceleration.""An area for improvement in OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is the installation process because you need some technical knowledge to install it. What's lacking in OpenText Exceed TurboX (ETX) is a help portal for users to ask questions and seek assistance."
