We performed a comparison between Citrix Gateway and VMware Workspace ONE based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Citrix, SonicWall, Cisco and others in Universal Access Gateways."It's a stable solution while it's running. We don't have to work on it a lot. There are not many bugs, so it's easy to use if you deploy successfully. You can be sure of an uninterrupted solution for quite a long time. Citrix is a good product."
"What I find most valuable about this solution, is that it runs seamlessly."
"It is easy to set up and is stable. It is scalable as well, depending on the model."
"The features that we have found most valuable are the web app support and VPN."
"The initial setup is simple. Normally with all setups, it's not very complicated. It really depends on the customer."
"Just creating that gateway to the storefront for Citrix is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us."
"Its ease of use and how everybody can easily work through it are the most valuable features."
"Providing our organization the ability to work remotely was the most valuable feature of Citrix Gateway. I also enjoy that they are always adding features."
"The most valuable feature of VMware Workspace ONE is its reliability."
"It has good stability."
"The bigger vendors like VMware, Insight, and MobileIron can assign engineers to customers. You can work with them to develop the right competency to use the product."
"The antivirus and the ability to push security policies down to the device are key features."
"Among the most important improvements is the ability to set up different groups with different deployment policies."
"The solution's Self-Service feature is valuable because it gives a single managed application that users can download and use based on their preferences and productivity."
"We recently integrated Workspace ONE with our intelligence report, and this is a great tool from a reporting point of view. In our daily business, we get several requests from businesses to provide an Adobe request for monitoring, whether it is for Android or iOS devices. The main benefit of this tool is that we can exclude the report for applications."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the tracking of the devices."
"It's extremely complicated and it's not intuitive. The solution requires a lot of training to get going on it."
"We have experienced issues relating to multi-factor authentication"
"The initial setup is not straightforward."
"Their VAS product should be more productive because right now, we are using other VAS solutions but not using this one."
"While connectivity is not something that is under Citrix's control, if the connectivity is spotty, it can be difficult."
"The solution has unnecessary limitations."
"The dashboard or interface should be more clear in reporting issues. Integration with other applications should be more user-friendly."
"Lacks access through a mobile device."
"In terms of the inventory management side, as in the invoice management, the stock management and the entire inventory of an organization is lagging a bit in comparison to Blackberry or other EMM solutions."
"We'd like the customization to be better."
"AirWatch doesn't seem to empower IT admins to try new things or get creative with implementations."
"There is no Apple zero-day support for updates."
"Its performance is quite good on Apple phones or even mid-range phones. If you install an AirWatch on a phone that is not too powerful, you will have performance issues. That's only because the phone is not too powerful, and there is not enough memory, etc. They could do a lighter version for a less powerful phone. It would also be useful for very small companies that don't want to spend money on expensive phones. Having said that, I don't think that is their target market. If their target market is enterprise, all enterprises perhaps have an agreement with Google or Apple, and they would get a phone that has already been tested, and they know that AirWatch will work on that phone."
"Pricing is the only challenge right now. The licensing fee should be simplified a little bit. They have kept too many products as add ons. These need to be bundled with the low-cost, standard version. This will help customers in adopting this technology at a faster pace."
"I would like to see more service notifications."
"Integration with Microsoft needs improvement. There are some dependencies with Microsoft that aren't 100% yet, for example: compliance synchronization."
