We performed a comparison between Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP and Qualys VMDR based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Tenable, Wiz, Check Point Software Technologies and others in Vulnerability Management."This solution helps to keep everything visible, and it also alerts us if something is wrong, such as if someone opened extra ports or services that they are not supposed to. This is a valuable tool for monitoring and maintaining our cloud environment."
"The most valuable feature is the single dashboard that enables us to manage the entire cloud environment from one place."
"The new scanning function is a valuable feature that wasn't available until recently."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to apply common tools across all accounts."
"It has an analytics service that does research for us."
"I love the work involved in maintaining and scaling security services and configurations across multiple public clouds using this solution, versus using native native cloud security controls. It is so much better. The different cloud platforms all have their own way that they handle a lot of the stuff that Dome9 handles. Even within their platform, they are in a lot of disparate places, e.g., in AWS, there are five different tools. You have to jump between them to get the same information that you can just pull in automatically on Dome9, which is just one platform. We are using multiple platforms, so that makes it even more complicated and time consuming if you had to just rely on them to get all of your information. Whereas, it's all just summarized and put together on the Dome9 end."
"Dome9 continues to be a major piece of our cloud security architecture and has given our senior leadership team a high degree of confidence in our ability to protect our cloud environment."
"The way they offer container security is a big highlight that I have noticed. The solution is also agentless, so the scanning, runtime, really everything is offered directly by CloudGuard."
"The features that are most valuable are the identification, scan features, and the identification of vulnerabilities."
"Technical support is great and we've never really had a problem."
"I find the most valuable features are the continuous monitoring. Even on premises, there is constant monitoring."
"The Vulnerability Management and Patch Management features are the most valuable features of this solution."
"The most valuable feature of Qualys Container Security is the detailed information in the reports and the remediation. This is done to make sure there are no vulnerabilities."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the external channel."
"There are many features. Its reliability, ease of installation, ease of use, and the richness of the information provided are the most valuable features."
"This is one of the best products I have worked with so far. I like the power of Qualys, and it's a better solution because you can scan a compact file, a BIT file, or batch files. The product already knows what's happening inside, and you don't need to expand the package. Tenable will do the same thing, but you need to have a package issuance claim. With Qualys, we can immediately understand the file, even a compact file. If there's some kind of discovery or incident, you will know what happened in the environment."
"It should have some options to activate API calls to the platform in the cloud, another improvement would be that when the rules are colonized and they want to be published."
"Almost all features are good, however, they still require improvements to the code security portion on which integration with the major source code repository is required."
"Check Point tools need to improve the latency in the portal since they take a long time to load."
"Their service needs improvement."
"You do need to pay extra in order to get better support."
"The false positives can be annoying at times."
"The software configurations theory is complicated, and without proper planning and a well-skilled technical team, it cannot perform its tasks properly."
"Automation and advanced threat prevention have room for improvement."
"Certain integration factors between different options could be improved."
"Qualys VM's scanner doesn't pick up every vulnerability, so we have to use multiple scanners to cover that gap."
"Qualys could improve the inbuilt dashboards."
"Qualys could be improved in its overall performance compared to other vulnerability management or scanning tools."
"Improve the API speed."
"There seems to be a lack of easy onboarding into Qualys."
"The tool needs to improve the adding assets and report generation features. I would like to see the policy scan of offline appliances in the product's future releases."
"Could use additional security for the app."
