We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Menu creation is easier now.""The most valuable feature of JD Edwards World is its ease of use and unique functions.""The pricing is okay. It's not overly expensive.""I think JDE ERP is very flexible and very convenient for the users. I think EnterpriseOne is more convenient for users to do the inquiry and do the data entry. The UI is better than JDE World. For JDE products, including the World version, is very flexible. It's a good product for clients.""It has worked fine for many years.""The most valuable feature for me is the traceability customization, which allows me to track the movement and history of artifacts in our ecosystem.""I like that JD Edwards World is perfect for my use cases, but what I like best about it is its navigation.""The ease of use is consistently there."

"The in-memory processing capability is most valuable.""I find the Production Planning Cockpit (PPC) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) most valuable modules.""The most valuable feature is that HANA loads from memory, which means it loads very quickly.""The initial setup is not complex; it's more at a medium level. Not too easy, but with the right knowledge, you can configure it.""The most valuable feature is the inbuilt standards included in SAP that customers can adopt easily. Also offers to customize it based on the specific requirements.""I find everything I need in S4/HANA.""The key modules that I find most valuable are material management (MM), financial accounting and controlling (FICO), and human resources (HR).""The solution can scale well."

Cons
"Update interface capabilities and data maintenance tools to modern standards.""There are a lot of new technologies coming out and JD Edwards World could improve by having better integration with other databases. The integration with the databases and applications should be in real-time, such as with Oracle.""Its end of life is already announced, so I don't expect lots of improvement coming from the product anywhere anymore.""Improvements are needed in transitioning JD Edwards World to a more stable and reliable cloud product, particularly in terms of GDPR and data privacy compliance.""The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable so that it could be available to a broader audience. My clients want more analytics or data analysis features from JD Edwards World.""There is no support from Oracle here. We only have third-party support.""I have more than 18 years of JDE experience in JDE EnterpriseOne and World versions. I think JDE is good but compared to SAP and Oracle EPS, we can see which area needs to have some improvement for JDE.""The integration technology could be stronger at this point."

More JD Edwards World Cons →

"SAP S4HANA could improve by having a more seamless easier integration, faster integration. The overall implementation timelines should be reduced.""The scalability could be better.""An area for improvement would be integration with different kinds of legacies. In the next release, I would like the product to be prepared for blockchain technology and the best way to communicate with social networking.""The user interface should be much more convenient and user-friendly.""This is a costly solution.""Every year, when a new version is released, it comes with a very thick booklet of 300 or 400 pages and it is a little difficult to comprehend.""The solution could be more user-friendly for regular users and developers.""The procure-to-pay solution in the Contract Management angle could be better. If you look at it on Ariba, the Contract Management Life Cycle for Ariba is more robust. You can create documentation, SLAs, and NDAs. Apart from the procurement aspect of the contract, you have the legal side, but Ariba cannot do that. From what I've seen, the features of the procure-to-pay model in S/4HANA and their Contract Life Cycle Management side primarily focus on the procurement side. I believe it would be good if this solution could handle a part of the legal side. They will incorporate Extended Warehouse Management and Transportation Management into the S/4HANA cloud. Most big companies that use a solution like S/4HANA have a legal department within the organization. Suppose they can incorporate that to be in S/4HANA suites; I think it'll be good. It will be just like what we have with Transportation Management and Extended Warehouse Management. The user interface could be better. They have too much information on the interface, and our customers still keep complaining that it looks complex. Even though many things have changed, they still complain that the interface or the screen they see is a bit complex. It's only when they see the Fiori interface that their mind becomes a bit calm."

In terms of the features I have found most valuable, I don't think that there is any lack or any gap process-wise. SAP is a very good tool."
