We performed a comparison between Microsoft Azure Logic Apps and SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable features of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps are the triggering based on certain events. You can trigger a Logic App and put your logic behind it and take certain actions. The actions could be anything based on the business logic. For example, if you say something happens, an order comes in, and the order can sit in one of the Azure services. Whenever an order comes in, the Logic App can go look and trigger an event. You can write your logic inside your Logic App and it works similar to a workflow."
"I like the ability within Logic Apps to design the workbooks through the portal with minimal code."
"I would rate my experience with the initial setup a nine out of ten, with ten being easy to set up."
"The solution's best feature is that it is compatible with the cloud and has many connectors and third-party adapters."
"The solution has plenty of good valuable features and a plethora of services."
"Connectors are very useful for streamlining data integration tasks."
"If there's something that isn't possible, you can write some code and call that code from a Logic App."
"I am impressed with the tool's UI and analytics."
"Having the SEEBURGER consulting team perform the installation alleviates a lot of headaches and ensures a stable system."
"If SEEBURGER plans to do something, they will meet their target. We haven't been disappointed by them at all. For example, we had six trading partners to onboard and they said, "We'll make it happen," and they did make it happen. They did exactly what they said they would do. That's a really positive thing."
"When orders come in they go into our ERP system directly, so there is integration there."
"SEEBURGER BIS can reconcile documentation, like our accounts payable and statements within the system. If you are manually doing it, then it is really time consuming with a lot of errors. Whereas, SEEBURGER BIS allows for a lot of basic level programming within the documentation, filtering, and sorting out VLOOKUP. It lets us get two database tables from two different systems, then merge them based on the logic that we provide. So, it is a very helpful product."
"It has a lot of basic EDI already established for all the main users. Also, it lets me share setups that I had already set up for my first plant. I was able to use them for my second one which was very helpful. I didn't have to start from scratch for my second facility."
"In our landscape, we have a lot of AS/400s or iSeries and SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) has a file service listener that allows data to seamlessly be transferred between the SEEBURGER solution and the AS/400."
"Among the most important [features] are the BIC 6 Converter and the communication protocols, which have the newer security features for certificates and encryption."
"The solution is flexible when it comes to adding integrations. It is much easier to use than the other tools we have to move the files. Across the board, we can move files in a short amount of time compared to our other existing tools."
"The support I have received is mixed because in some cases they are accurate, and in others, it was me doing the groundwork and giving feedback for the agent to finally tell me there is an issue in their larger services."
"Not all connectors are readily available, though. There are two types: managed connectors and app connectors. Some connectors require you to provide a username and password to connect to platforms like SharePoint or Salesforce. Due to security constraints, some users may prefer not to use these connectors. Instead, they might opt for the HTTP connector."
"The documentation could be better. I think that's the only thing that was causing a normal level of problems. In terms of the documentation, it came from Cosmos DB and an additional product from Microsoft Azure."
"The solution lacks sufficient connectors."
"The product needs improvement in getting direct access to the code and versioning."
"The main issue is performance, especially when dealing with large amounts of data. Performance-wise, that's the only thing Microsoft should focus on."
"Pricing and handling asynchronous processes are the two main areas that need improvement."
"There could be custom code for the product's components."
"A person whom I work with, and is not very technical, found the setup complex, as there are a lot of steps."
"A true debugger that allows you to step through the process would be a good improvement. Right now, we are limited to reading the log file generated by the test screen in Mapping Designer."
"We don't have much access to the logs or what's happening. So we have to log a ticket with SEEBURGER. We only get a message that something has failed... we have to open a ticket with SEEBURGER for them to tell us exactly what the issue is... I would like us to be able to be more self-sufficient."
"Some of the functionality for retriggering documents, where you have to step through a termination process and then retrigger it, versus just being able to restart or retrigger more easily, is a bit challenging, depending on the scenario."
"The initial set up was done by SEEBURGER consulting. It can be complex due to various factors, such as server settings, database settings, and security settings."
"SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite does not have an end user or subscriber console which can show the traffic status."
"They made improvements to the email error alerts that go out, for the EDI technical. Those typically go straight out to the partners. Those messages are significantly clearer and easy to read. The same messages in the front end are not nearly as clear. It's supposed to be the same error, but the message that goes out for EDI is really easy for anybody to read and understand, but you have to be really solution-savvy to understand the message in the system itself."
"The ability to bind a mapping to an agreement seems a bit clunky. It would be nice to have a better way of navigating to a map name rather than using a drop down list."
