"The solution provides a one-stop place for notes, progress, and sharing the status of projects."
"Our team uses the platform for many different functions, and the ability to have multiple Kanban boards that are integrated into various other platforms our team uses has helped us become more efficient in our content creation strategies."
"Shared boards help entire teams to plan out campaigns with ease and clarity."
"The solution offers the simplicity of use with no need for 'experts' to build a suitable product for us (like Salesforce does, for example)."
"In general, this solution is very user-friendly."
"monday.com is easy to set up."
"The automation process is one of the best."
"It has a nice dashboard view, so you can analyze the progress on a project from a single place. It provides a nice graphical representation of all the project management with visualizations of Gantt chart and customized reports. You can easily track all your progress on project tasks and flag any issues."
"PPM Pro provides managers the insight they need to empower decision-making. The data is always in the tool. It's just making sure people are using it correctly. We track the requests as they come in. We track our demand by each of our teams within IT and then estimate that effort so that we can see if we are getting a lot of requests to certain teams. We check the demand versus capacity as those items come in."
"You can easily align strategic management and the portfolios within your organization. It helps you visualize all your strategic plans and the KPIs. It provides that information on a unified dashboard, in which you can track all your resources and the portfolios. It helps senior stakeholders and executives with clear reporting about project intake and demands, in real time."
"Time tracking, portfolio management reporting, and what-if analysis create visibility into project planning, resource capacity, and demand planning."
"It gave us a clarity of purpose. Everybody knows what they are doing and that they are all aligned: Managers know what employees are doing. Employees know what they are doing and the managers think they should be doing. That is the clarity which really helps in efficiency."
"The solution is great for viewing projects and timelines."
"It is flexible, because so far we haven't been able to figure out anything that it cannot do. It's highly configurable. We've added custom field design screens to fit our needs, develop reports, and dashboards that give us the ability to deliver much better information, especially to senior IT management."
"The timesheet & staffing management function gives us clarity in terms of how capacity planning has to happen and how much actual effort is going into the programs. The risk and project status information gets captured in the project gives more clarity for stakeholders to understand how the programs are running. We have only explored a portion of the application features so far."
"If we could add a new feature to draw the plan as a chart and note priority via color, that would be great."
"I often find it difficult to keep track of all the projects I am involved in."
"The permission settings require workarounds for some use cases."
"Monday is excellent for collaboration between partners and team members, however, it would be great if there could be a way to have clients on Monday, and not just to share information."
"It does have some native report widgets, but there are limitations on those. They're still building that capability out in my opinion. The reporting in monday.com is probably the weakest link, but there are third-party apps that you can add in that do some great reporting for you. You can also tie monday.com into a data warehouse and use something like Tableau, Power BI, or any reporting tool that can report out of a data warehouse to get the more in-depth reports that you need. Monday.com will get there, but it doesn't seem to be one of their top priorities."
"The user admin module could be more accessible."
"In my main table, I changed sometimes the timeline values mistakenly. That should be prevented via a smart warning or some sort of coloring."
"I'd like to see more integration with outside software such as social media publishing sites and cloud services."
"From a usability standpoint, the part where there are people on the tasks section on a team is a little challenging. Then for some reason, the in-demand reports are embedded in the resource section and to run them is just completely different and separate from the reports entity which is a lot."
"The resource management tab is clunky, inefficient, and slow. And from a portfolio manager perspective, it would be nice if there were an easier way to view enterprise-wide resourcing to manage my team more effectively."
"Integrations need improvement. We have the ability now with the FLEX licensing to take advantage of the different applications. But if you want them integrated there's a really large cost associated with that. The integration should be included in the cost per license. We shouldn't have to pay these really high fees to get the systems to talk together."
"Reporting and dashboards need improvement. They've got the new beta coming out now and I've been playing around with that in our sandbox environment."
"Based on my experience, the financial management screens have gone a long way, but I think there's still some room for improvement in terms of how you model them and the different version controls."
"The downside to the way the solution tracks time is if your project manager doesn't add you to the project, you won't see it on your timesheet, even if you did do work."
"Entering day-to-day tasks is a tedious process."
"The product feels like a toy. The tool needs to improve its roadmap. It needs to improve things on a project management level which includes communication as well."
