We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Every year, they release a new version.""The inventory feature in NetSuite ERP is very valuable to me because it provides clear estimates about the depreciation of details and includes useful mobile modules.""I have found there to be many features, such as manufacturing, accounting, financials, inventory, and purchasing.""It's integrated into everything well so you can navigate and use it in a very simple way.""NetSuite ERP is a user-friendly cloud-based solution that posts into the GL in real time. You can see your profitability at the order level.""We leverage the core platform but are able to add additional functionality for ease of use, tailored processes, and industry related reporting.""The initial setup is easy.""NetSuite ERP has dramatically improved our organization. We went from QuickBooks to NetSuite. You can compare this transition to changing from tennis shoes to a flying car."

"The tool's complaint management feature is very good. We used a CRM before, which lacked the integrations, so complaints had to be handled manually. With Siebel CRM, we have better integrations and can resolve complaints with a few clicks. When you're in the service industry, tasks matter a lot, especially when you have to access multiple systems to address issues. Being a bank, we currently have around 17 operational systems. It's not feasible to expect users to access them individually to make the necessary changes.""Siebel CRM has a strong database model, workflow and integration tools.""Siebel offers a high level of customization which has been valuable. The solution also offers the ability to model complex products.""Due to the many features that are built in from a CRM perspective, it is the best product we have.""Siebel is easy to configure and comes with various pre-built industry verticals, so it doesn't require much effort. If you want to roll out Siebel in telecom or manufacturing, they have the verticals.""The solution is scalable.""Siebel CRM has enhanced customer engagement for our organization, particularly through its robust data model and flexible features. One specific scenario where Siebel CRM excelled was in addressing complex client requirements. For instance, we successfully implemented a module for email responses, a feature that was not readily available or as robust as other CRM tools. Additionally, Siebel's open UI module allowed us to customize the user interface for one of our clients completely. This customization proved to be a major selling point for our company.""The flexibility is very good."

Cons
"There is a lot of room for improvement. Multiple manufacturing features need to be updated on NetSuite. More functionalities need to be added. I think there are a lot of functionalities coming out for warehouse management systems and manufacturing automation via advanced manufacturing functionalities. I think they need to improve a little more on those aspects and make it easier on the scheduling aspect.""The communication has been peculiar, and the overall commercial process has been less than satisfactory.""In NetSuite ERP, they should focus on offering better customization options.""Many features such as local taxation and fund management are not there yet.""If they could provide more integration options to connect with different products, that would be ideal.""What needs to be improved is the development in the other areas and other businesses that can use NetSuite.""I would like to see improved customization options in NetSuite ERP, possibly through generative modules, to enhance flexibility and efficiency.""Additionally, adding advanced modules such as AI components or customer service modules could help the system become more scalable."

"I want Oracle to improve the tool’s UI with a vanilla application. I would also like to see an insurance broking vertical in their future releases. There are thousands of brokers who look for an insurance broking solution.""Oracle needs to improve its support. The major drawback I've observed with Siebel CRM is that Oracle hasn't taken appropriate steps to improve it since 2019. We noticed a steep downfall because Oracle was slow to roll out upgrades like Open UI. By the time these upgrades were available, the market had shifted to cloud solutions, which competitors were already providing much earlier.""The problem with Siebel is that everything is customizable in it. It's probably over-engineered, which makes it difficult to use, and it makes it difficult for the users to get started with the system.""The documentation needs to be improved.""However, there are areas that this product has not evolved at par with global industry trends, including the UX/UI and cloud capabilities.""Siebel is pricey compared to other CRM tools. That's the problem. Although it's a highly stable and functionally rich application, customers are not willing to pay that price for it. Customers can find CRM software that gives them similar functionality at a lower price. There are so many others on the market like Salesforce.""Currently, Siebel CRM is not helping the agent provide faster feedback to the customer.""Siebel CRM should improve its UI. Because it's all about the customer experience and how the customer experiences it, the internal customer is more important for CRM than the people handling the company. So, you get frustrated if you don't have a very good user interface and user experience."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "I would advise that you first meet with and scope out your project with a NetSuite VAR (Value Added Reseller)."
  • "When people buy ERP, it's a competitive situation and the pricing is paramount."
  • "It is completely on a subscription basis. We pay yearly and, and you do not have to do anything on a monthly basis. Prices depend on the organization's scale and all those things, but they are doing a good job with the pricing."
  • "There is an annual license required to use this solution."
  • "The price of the solution is quite high."
  • "NetSuite ERP has a cost per module you want to use, and then you have the license per user."
  • "Pricing for NetSuite ERP is okay, but it could be better. The licensing model for NetSuite ERP is based on the number of modules and users. The standard license covers up to twenty-five users. If you have more than twenty-five users, you'll have to buy the premium license, which would double the price. For one module with five user licenses, the cost is between $40,000 to $50,000."
  • "It's very competitively priced due to it being a subscription model. So, clients are quite happy with the pricing. I would rate it an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."

  • "Its licensing is yearly."
  • "The price of Siebel CRM depends on the usage of the business requirement. For large enterprises the price it's very good but if you are using it for medium scale enterprises, the price is very expensive."
  • "This solution is expensive compared to other solutions in the market. This makes it difficult to convince our customers to use it. The customers who are already using Siebel have thought about moving to Velocity or Salesforce."
  • "I think the tool’s pricing is exaggerated. Once you do the price sizing as per your business needs, you would find that the price of other solutions like Zoho CRM, HubSpot CRM, Salesforce CRM, etc. would be always the same."
  • "The product is expensive."
