We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is so simplistic that it gives us peace of mind. Before, we had all these processes that were run manually, such as different file transfers and jobs running for our core at certain times. Now, all that stuff is done automatically.""The whole product is valuable to us because of the integrations that it has with the MCP and the Windows environments. You have to have the agent on each one of them that you want to monitor. The integrations that we have created are along the lines of extracting files and sending them through SFTP to another vendor. Those are the things that were taking a lot of time away from my staff.""I find OpCon's ability to monitor files and folders, and its integration with other software to be the most valuable.""For us, the most valuable feature of the solution is the file transfer piece and being able to automate the moving of files around between our various vendors. It reduces the time involved versus somebody having to individually move the files around.""It allows us to organize everything into a process flow throughout the day for our different tasks that we have to run. So, it keeps everything organized. It is easy to monitor and adjust, if we need to.""Manual processing has been automated 99 percent by OpCon. With new processes, we give it at least two weeks manual so we can write down the details of how to do the steps, then we automate it. Within a month, it has been automated, then it's no longer a manual process.""Often times there are criteria that cannot be determined by the system, which allows a human to make the determination and use the Self-Service Solution Manager to trigger a job.""It allows us to have more information and more control than we previously had over the processes that are running in host systems."

"We had a cost reduction of approximately 20% in our operations.""The user community is definitely useful.""The Excel activities are valuable. We can do browser automation through other sites or tools, but for Excel, using tools or options like Selenium or JavaScript is quite complicated because we have to import the file from the JSQL or other things, whereas, in UiPath, we get direct activities. We can directly perform the operations by using the activities. We can directly apply logic to it, and that is how UiPath makes Excel automation easy. This is why I like it.""Document processing is a valuable feature in UiPath.""The most important feature of all is the UiPath community and the forums, as they have helped me with countless questions!""This solution has increased productivity in our organization.""Building automation using the solution is easy.""The product is very intuitive and easy to use, and I am not a developer."

Cons
"At first, it's a little clunky, but once you learn it, it actually is very simple. You have to get over that initial learning hump.""Licensing would be the first part I would overhaul. Each time a new licensing paradigm comes out, more features are removed and costs are added. They "add" features that are rarely used and increase charges for the number of jobs run. I'm sure someone in finance got a raise for their brilliance but the end-users won't thank them one bit. Expect price hikes and threats when you hold them to account at every opportunity.""I'd like to see the product include a view where you can see everything about a specific job on a single screen.""The calendar interface and the frequency interface is a very powerful, yet complex, section of OpCon in which all our staff have made mistakes. They have implemented what they believed was logically correct and then afterward discovered that their logic was flawed because OpCon did it a different way. That part, which is incredibly useful, is also incredibly dangerous. The interface or the ability to directly do more functions within the frequency definitely has room for expansion. As good as it is, it can be a lot better.""The products are extremely powerful and capable. Anytime you have such capability, the programming/configuration that goes into making it work can be complicated.""The image-scanning features need improvement.""The FICS integration is a little bit clunky. We've had some tickets with their support team, and sometimes they couldn't figure it out, but that probably has more to do with FICS than with OpCon.""Enterprise Manager is a little clunky which I know they're addressing in the solution's manager."

More OpCon Cons →

"I would like to have a guidebook of examples that help me to determine the feasibility of specific use cases, based on the tools and the features that are out there.""We work with Google Cloud and are excited about the possibility of a partnership.""There are so many offerings and configurations and customizations that make things a bit complicated. Streamlining it would be ideal.""We have used it with Windows and it has been perfect. But recently, we tried it with Linux and we faced some issues regarding this automation. The auto-recording didn't happen as much as in other operating systems. They need to add more user-friendly automation and templates for that. They don't have many templates for other operating systems.""We would like to know the prerequisites when installing bots.""Some of the transitions from the forum to submitting a ticket are a little clunky. If a ticket could be submitted on my behalf on the forum, then have me boot over to where the ticket is, that is fine. Just kicking me out of the forum, then having me submit a ticket seems counterintuitive to me.""I would like to see more AI features with data classification and computer reason. I think it would be great to have more features in full monitoring robots.""They say that everybody can do it, but not everybody can do it. You need to have some form of technological understanding about it, and just because we can automate something doesn't mean we should automate something. That's where I think there's a marketing thing. I understand where they're going with it, but it's not necessarily how real life is in my perspective."
