We performed a comparison between Pega Robotic Process Automation and UiPath based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable features are the loops to lookup tables to read the data."
"The most valuable aspect for myself was access to the .net framework. If I couldn't figure something out using the objects that they had provided, I could bring in the .net objects and do so using similar logic that I would in a .net or C sharp coding language. Having that familiarity was helpful."
"If you want to make any kind of base automation, you can easily code exactly what you want."
"I am impressed with the tool's recording feature."
"It is a scalable solution."
"Using the tool actually ends up teaching you about making workflows more efficient."
"The low-code/no-code development aspect of the solution is great."
"User-friendly, easy to understand and has many features including the ability to track."
"Document Understanding and Action Center have added significant value to UiPath, especially for the IDP process."
"The product has reduced the cost of our automation operations."
"The tool's most valuable feature is Task Capture."
"UI commands with minutes change in selector: The command works effectively in all environments."
"It's made it easier to do development and create accurate products for the customers."
"The speed is much better because we're doing it on the cloud. With other solutions there were network problems, but in UiPath I have found that network connectivity is much stronger when transferring data from the back end to the front end. It is much faster."
"RPA is a valuable feature for interacting with GUI interfaces."
"The most valuable features of UiPath are the drag and drop activities."
"What I don't like that much in Pega Robotic Process Automation is its monitoring tool because that tool is tightly connected with the platform. If the Pega team can deploy the monitoring tool separately, so that it's a separate solution altogether, then that would be good because currently, if you have to use the monitoring tool, then that means you have to use the Pega Robotic Process Automation platform. The initial setup for Pega Robotic Process Automation also needs improvement because it is complex. The only additional feature I'd like to see in the solution is for the monitoring tool to be a stand-alone rather than being tightly coupled with the Pega platform. Looking at the current features of Pega Robotic Process Automation concerning application automation, it covers most of my needs currently."
"The development experience needs to be improved."
"I would like to improve the tool's integration features and stability."
"They have tied the deployment with the Pega BPM product, the robot manager. You need to have the BPM installed."
"It is still a niche skill and resources are scarce in the market unless big IT companies are involved."
"The way integration classes are created could be improved."
"The ease-of-use could be improved."
"In this modern world, in this automation space, if Pega could provide more options that are user-friendly and provide a way to quickly develop an automation solution that is drag-and-drop with a minimal coding approach, then it would be great for automation."
"They could provide much more premium, quicker customer service. I'm from India and the customer support team is elsewhere. There's a time difference and, whenever I post a query or ask them for help, the response is delayed."
"We would like to see C# support in the next release."
"The main disadvantage that I have identified in the Document Understanding is in table extraction. If the table size is large and goes to the next page, we are unable to extract it with Document Understanding. I hear that there is a solution for that but I have to find it."
"I talked to the product team. They are very passionate about this. In my opinion, all the different components that they have now released should be integrated under a single umbrella, available through a single landing page. That way, everything integrates with each other and they are able to communicate data back and forth. To me, that would be the ultimate solution."
"When we deploy code into Orchestrator, sometimes there are macro activities that worked in Studio but do not work correctly in production."
"UiPath is not easy to work with, as a vendor, from a partner perspective. They are difficult to deal with."
"The area that must improve is while releasing a new version, it must be capable of running the bots developed in the older version."
"At the functional level, UiPath is almost perfect. The only area for improvement would be the ability to use code. In Blue Prism and other tools, we can write the code, whereas UiPath is drag-and-drop, so sometimes we have limitations when it comes to implementation."
