Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The Vulnerability Management and Patch Management features are the most valuable features of this solution.""The most recent is VMDR, which provides a comprehensive overview of how to detect, patch, and remediate specific vulnerabilities.""It's stable and quite reliable.""The prioritization feature is great. I think it has all of the advanced features that we need.""Qualys VM's best feature is vulnerability management.""Tech support is helpful.""It's really beneficial for scanning and interacting with the agent.""I like Qualys because it is a very complete product, more so than Tenable."

"The product is at the forefront of auto-remediation networking. It's great.""It's easily scalable.""The most valuable features are its data aggregation and the ability to automatically identify a number of threats, then suggest recommended actions upon them.""The solution is fast, flexible, and easy to use.""Because of some of the visualizations that we utilize, we are able to understand strange, unusual traffic on our networks.""The solution appears to be stable, although we haven't used it heavily.""Splunk is more user-friendly than some competing solutions we tried.""This intelligent user behavior analytics package is easy to configure and use while remaining feature filled."

Cons
"The ability to manage user accounts and give rights to the operator to know about abnormalities of applications is something that needs improvement.""Make some minimal dashboard improvements.""If anything, I would like to see the user interface modernized a bit more.""Could use additional security for the app.""I do not like that all of the data is stored on the cloud.""This solution could be improved by extending the agent capabilities to different operating systems including Mac and Linux. We would also like the capability to easily check for vulnerability in assets in the IOTs.""We face issues while scanning multiple assets.""Its integration with ServiceNow and other similar products is complicated and can be improved. It should also have virtual batching. They should support more standards and compliance requirements and more customizations. For policy compliance, they can add the standards required by the countries in the Middle East. Each country generates its own standards and frameworks, and those frameworks should be there in all products, not only in Qualys. The market here is huge, especially in the cybersecurity field. Qatar has a framework for Qatar 2022, and each and every company in the public or private sector has to follow the Qatar 2022 framework."

More Qualys VMDR Cons →

"The ability to do more complicated data investigation would be a welcome addition for pros, though the functionality now gives most people what they need.""It could be easier to scale the solution if you are using it on-premise, not in the cloud.""In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats.""The solution is much more expensive than relative competitors like ArcSight or LogRhythm. It makes it hard to sell to customers sometimes.""I'm not aware of any lacking features.""I would like improved downward integration with other tools such as McAfee and other GCP solutions.""If the price was lowered and the setup process was less complex, I would consider rating it higher.""Currently, a lot of network operations need improvement. We still need people to handle incidents. Our vision is to leverage status and convert it directly from the network devices. It would be ideal if we could take action using APIs and API code and remove manual processes."
