Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is not complex. The deployment process was relatively straightforward.""The accounting part and the procurement part are most valuable. It is a very good system with workflows and notifications.""The solution is parameterized so it naturally has the ability to parameterize, configure, and adapt to various organizational procedures.""The most valuable feature of Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management is the business intelligence module. Additionally, report consolidation, cloud access, and analysis are useful."

"It's reliable and the performance is good.""From a technology standpoint, the theory and analytics are fascinating.""I have found the user interface very modern and it has simplified many user jobs, such as the embedded logistics. They have introduced central finance which has been a benefit.""The most valuable feature of SAP S/4HANA is the innovational process. We are able to receive more efficiency or accuracy than previous versions.""S4HANA is a completely integrated solution. It's an end-to-end ERP system with strong manufacturing and financial integration, which is not common among ERPs. And it's a solution that's driven by industry best practices.""The initial setup is not complex; it's more at a medium level. Not too easy, but with the right knowledge, you can configure it.""The scalability has been good.""One of the most valuable features is the in-memory database."

Cons
"Its implementation process is kind of complicated. If the person implementing it doesn't know what he is doing, the system can have many issues. Sage X3 is just an accounting system. As compared to Oracle E-Business Suite, it does not cover a lot of functionality. It doesn't have the payroll, lease management, and HR modules. Oracle E-Business Suite is better than Sage X3.""Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management could improve the search functionality. For example, if I was to search for a transaction from last year it would be difficult to accomplish. I have to scroll through to find what I am looking for. The approach should be more similar to Quickbooks where when you search for something it takes you directly to the searched item.""The solution does not have a solid, out-of-the-box API architecture that is supported.""It is not suitable for corporate or manufacturing companies. For example, it's challenging to use it for a manufacturing company."

More Sage Business Cloud Enterprise Management Cons →

"If I can highlight one point that could be improved, when we talk about other ERPs, like Oracle, nowadays these ERPs provide free integration with other ERPs. For example, there is an API for banks integrated into every tool and every product form requires that bank integration in order to give real time data into the ERP. But SAP is charging a lot for that particular bank integration scenario and I think it should be free because other ERPs are providing this feature built in to the ERP. People always ask us about the integration and how much it will cost to go with that solution, so people are thinking about this.""The migration to SAP S/4HANA is hard.""There should be a place where I can get the best available applications in one place. Currently, Fiori applications are available in different tiles on the dashboards. If anyone wants to check the financial, sales, and inventory reporting in one place, it is not possible in Fiori. We would have to develop a custom Fiori application. If that feature can be incorporated into the standard Fiori, it will be helpful for us.""The product's use of resources could be improved, as it is quite intensive at the moment.""The theory-side of the solution needs to be improved.""It requires a lot of planning to implement the product correctly.""Planned Order List needs a change of screen.""The solution could be more user-friendly for regular users and developers."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is very cheap. There are no additional charges, but the problem is that you have to acquire an additional supporting system such as a budgeting system. You will have to implement the integration and maintain two systems. So, you need to pay for the license of that budgeting system and this one. You also need to pay the license for the payroll and integration. There are all these integrations that you have to pay for."
  • "The solution delivers the same capabilities of SAP or Oracle at about 30% to 40% of the cost."
  • "The price of this solution is expensive. However, it depends on the number of branches used. The price can be upwards of $40,000 annually."
  • "The cost is not expensive."

  • "It is an expensive solution."
  • "The price of this product is an issue for some customers."
  • "I have found the price of the solution is on the medium to the expensive side of the scale. There is a license for this solution and there are additional maintenance fees."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "We're not sure yet. I think it was six figures a year, over 100,000. It has straight-up licensing fees."
  • "Licensing works on a subscription model for the cloud version and it's a one-time fee for the on-premises version."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable but some modules can be expensive. When comparing SAP S4HANA to other solutions, such as Oracle, it is not expensive."
