We performed a comparison between Sophos EPP Suite and ThreatLocker Protect based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture."
"This is stable and scalable."
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution."
"It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"It is stable."
"The most valuable features of Sophos EPP Suite are the synchronized threat and ransomware protection."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to centrally manage the total security environment, including the firewall."
"The solution efficiently protects the servers for our customers."
"This product is quite stable and there are no problems with it."
"Sophos EPP Suite has the capability to stop infections from spreading around the internal network even after the problems have infiltrated it."
"The most valuable feature is data loss prevention."
"So easy to deploy and use that you really don't even need their technical support."
"Feature-wise, the learning mode and the fact that it's blocking everything are the most valuable. I don't see why more companies don't use the type of product."
"Using ThreatLocker is effortless because I can access it from an app on my phone, so I can help clients after hours. My client had an issue while I was at dinner, and I didn't have a tech on the problem, but I could deal with it from my phone. I can see what the client is doing and approve or deny it. It helps me deliver better service to my clients when they need it."
"The great thing is that if you get a malicious email and you try to run something, ThreatLocker is not going to let it do anything. It is not going to let anything infect your network."
"The most valuable feature is probably the ability to block programs from running. ThreatLocker has some built-in features that make it super easy. You can also contact their support within the program. If you're having issues, you can click on that button and connect with someone in five to 10 seconds."
"Every single feature has been invaluable."
"The sandbox functionality is fantastic."
"While it can be frustrating at times, we appreciate the low-level security provided by the application whitelist."
"Application control, ring-fencing, and storage control are the most important features, followed closely by elevation."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"The SIEM could be improved."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"The solution is not stable."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors."
"The product should improve support and provide more scalable clustering."
"Technical support needs to be improved."
"From our enrollment perspective, I would say maybe it could be a little lighter in terms of agent usage so that there is less computer utilization."
"More integration options could be included in Sophos EPP Suite."
"The product's filtering and stability can be better."
"The solution is not easy to use in comparison to other endpoint security solutions."
"The solution lacks technical support."
"The solution could be improved in terms of the performance of the appliances. Sometimes the appliances in the market can be quite large. Additionally, in comparison to other appliances, such as FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, or ASA, it could be improved in terms of package processing or traffic handling."
"ThreatLocker could offer more flexible training, like online or offline classes after hours. The fact that they even provide weekly training makes it seem silly to suggest, but some people can't do it during the day, so they want to train after work. They could also start a podcast about issues they see frequently and what requires attention. A podcast would be helpful to keep us all apprised about what's going on and/or offline training for those people who can't train during the week."
"We identified several areas that we would like to see improved."
"ThreatLocker Allowlisting needs to improve its user interface and overall workflow."
"The portal can be a little overwhelming at times from an administration point of view. It displays a lot of information, and it's all useful. However, sometimes there is too much on the screen to sift through, especially if you're trying to diagnose a client's problem with a piece of software. Maybe something has stopped working since they updated it, and we need to see if ThreatLocker is blocking a component of that software."
"Something we have come up against a couple of times is that we have two clients that are software developers. They create software that doesn't have digital signatures and that's not easy to categorize or whitelist with ThreatLocker. We have to go in and make custom rules to allow them to do their work and to be protected from malicious threats."
"The reporting could be improved."
"One area I see for improvement is in the visibility of support tickets within the ThreatLocker ticketing system."
"More visibility in the built-ins would be nice."
