We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The machine learning feature is valuable."

More Centerity Monitor Pros →

"The features I found most valuable are the user interface and a wide range of network devices that are easy to configure.""The calculations part is the most valuable.""It's a very reliable platform and we've never had any issues regarding the scalability or the stability of Zabbix.""Our customers also like that they don't have to use multiple modules. Micro Focus and major vendors typically require you to buy several modules and plugins. Our customers do not like that. We offer them a single product for all their monitoring needs.""I'm supervising all the IT departments, and Zabbix seems quite good for them. It provides graphics and information in real time. We get alerts about crashes on the system, enabling us to quickly repair issues. We can easily find devices with problems.""It has good graphs of what is going on within the operating system.""The level of discovery-based configuration that lets us auto-configure the monitoring for various systems is a valuable feature.""The solution is stable."

Cons
"They can improve the functionality that provides some numbers related to the behavior of the metrics."

More Centerity Monitor Cons →

"Zabbix isn't a great tool for cloud-specific monitoring - its connection to public clouds needs to be improved. Other areas for improvement would be the lack of dashboards and integrations.""The integration of the product is not so easy, especially when it comes to the application database.""Having a more customizable interface and dashboard would be an improvement.""When using this solution in enterprise monitoring, you are able to see that there are some issues with equipment that could be causing a problem. Sometimes you want to make a root command that you do not want to be executed automatically. What we have tried to do is open an SSH session directly from the solution's interface but it is not possible.""The product delivers false positives during reporting because of flapping. Other reasonably priced alternatives may have better performance.""There are not too much documentation or manuals. We found the tutorials very easy to understand but do not go deep enough in the use of Zabbix. We need more manuals, proper use, documentation, etc.""They should open an SSH session from the web interface.""One of the things we don't like is that Zabbix has a license structure with a price that is high compared to the competition. It's very high, for example, compared to something like Microsoft Teams."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →

    Overview
Centerity is the pioneer provider of an All-in-One, IT Monitoring and Business Service Management (BSM) platform. Whereas legacy tools have focused on monitoring individual technologies which led to silos of performance data, Centerity breaks down silos by extending its monitoring coverage across all technology layers, from infrastructure (physical, virtual, converged, AWS, etc.) to applications (OS, SAP, Cloudera, etc.) and databases (SAP HANA, Hadoop, NoSQL, etc.), thereby providing an integrated, holistic view of system health, performance and availability. Centerity’s unique, unified platform, named a Gartner Cool Vendor in ITOM, can serve the needs of both IT executives and administrators while providing a complete business intelligence layer across all IT assets via cross technical and functional domain impact and trend analysis through its Business Service Management (BSM) capabilities.
