"The product's initial setup phase is very easy."
"The solution was relatively easy to deploy."
"The setup is pretty simple."
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration."
"The end-user facilities for managing the tool are good."
"The best thing is that it fits into all environments, which gives any organization a chance to use it intuitively without worrying about the nature of their industry."
"The most valuable feature is Harmony Endpoint's encapsulation system which captures the whole system and protects it against other functions. It is really good for the Check Point Harmony specialists."
"It has a great ability to detect threats and keep us safe."
"One of the most valuable features is the Threat Emulation and Threat Extraction. These features are able to scan email attachments before the user is able to access the file and then provide a safe copy of the attachment. Malicious files never get to the users machine. This is a very valuable feature of this solution."
"This software incorporates security AI features and effectively manages bandwidth with its DRS capabilities."
"Its ease of use is the most valuable feature. We had existing endpoints and it was an easy upgrade process. The interface board is also easy to use."
"Resource overheads have been reduced and we are overall more secure as a business."
"The solution is extremely scalable."
"Carbon Black has very good market strategies."
"I found the offline scanning to be particularly useful."
"I feel that the initial setup was straightforward and not complex."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"There's lots of very useful documentation online to help troubleshoot and learn about the product."
"Carbon Black Cb Defense has a nice component called Alert Triage. It contains full details of the process execution "kill chain" and "go live" for immediate remediation."
"It has intelligent learning behind it and we have been very successful in preventing attacks."
"We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team."
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location."
"The solution is not stable."
"Check Point needs to work in areas like branding and other value propositions to make products stand out in the market despite the solutions being more affordable than the ones offered by competitors."
"The solution could be improved in the future with a way to provide online training to customers for free, as other providers do."
"Enhanced behavioral analytics would provide a deeper understanding of endpoint activities, fortifying our defenses against sophisticated cyber adversaries."
"The network monitoring features must be improved."
"Check Point users a pattern-based security module, which is something that can be improved."
"There should be some way of managing this solution outside the organization's network, possibly with some type of remote access. For example, if I'm the admin of Check Point who manages the entire network, I would like to have access on my home device or maybe a mobile app to get reports, etc."
"It would be useful if you could also mark blocks as safe from a client. Now users always have to ask an admin to make exclusions."
"The product updates are a manual process for my administrator and can take several hours out of his day."
"This solution works well but needs lots of tuning and optimization."
"It could be a bit complicated. You have to be very familiar with Carbon Black to understand what it is doing and why it is doing. I would like to have more explanations and simplification in the user interface. It would be good to get help and see more explanations. It should tell us that a software is blocked and the reason for it. It would be good to be able to build chains in terms of what caused what, what worked, and what caused an issue. We are now moving from Carbon Black to Cortex XDR. While choosing antivirus software, we were also looking at Carbon Black because it also has an antivirus package, and it is next-generation, but we were told that Carbon Black doesn't support firewalls. We have Palo Alto firewalls. We would have chosen this solution if it supported firewalls, in particular next-generation firewalls, but unfortunately, it doesn't. Therefore, we decided on Cortex XDR because it integrates with Palo Alto firewalls."
"The solution has to mature on container security and a lot of cloud environment security."
"It would be nice to have additional forensic tools that you can build into the back end."
"Its compatibility can be improved. It did crash a server during deployment, which is not something that I want to happen. Its deployment should also be easier. The whole deployment cycle needs to be simplified. It is an enterprise solution, and to set it up right now, you have to be an expert."
"There is room for improvement in the support and service team."
"In the past, we've seen some stability issues in the latest version releases. We tend to hang back one version just to make sure issues are fully resolved to avoid user disruption."
"The product's reporting capabilities are an area of concern where improvements are required."
