We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The cost analysis and exportability are the most valuable features of the solution.""Gives visibility into the cost of cloud-based solutions.""The initial setup is straightforward.""The resource forecasting feature is invaluable. Secondly, the ability to drill down to the regional and resource level is incredibly helpful for pinpointing where my costs are accruing.""It has predictive analysis. It can forecast based on the costs associated with the particular architecture and how often they use it, estimating how much they'll spend.""We use Azure DevOps, and the product helps us understand the cost with the help of the Azure DevOps center.""The features that I have found most valuable, are the trend analysis and the budgetary trigger.""What I like the most about Azure Cost Management is that it's similar to a native service, and it has very well-defined product features, particularly if a customer is moving to Azure, then it gives proper insight in terms of compatibility and what benefits a customer can get from the solution."

"It provides high scalability, alerting, notification, templating, and end-to-end security.""Zabbix is both stable and scalable.""The initial setup, while not simple, is easier than other products.""We use it to monitor and manage our servers.""The solution is open-source, easy to manage, and user-friendly making it easy for anyone to use.""Zabbix has a roadmap and they are continuously and frequently adding new features.""During my testing, the features that I like the most are that it can be integrated with my system, and it provides me with reports of all of my servers.""The best thing about Zabbix is the integration and the APIs that are included are very fast"

Cons
"The solution needs an automated dashboard and better reporting.""The policy-based remediation is probably the biggest area where Azure is lacking and that's why we sell a lot of our technology to our customers.""It can be difficult to determine the cost associated with certain resources as it relies on a tagging progress. This means we need to drill down billing reports to highlight and fix missing tags.""It would be nice if they could introduce connections to other clouds. It would be good to connect to AWS and Oracle cloud.""The UI is complex, and it should be less so.""Azure Cost Management is expensive.""Stability is an area in the solution that lacks in certain areas. So, it needs to be improved.""The initial setup is a little bit complex."

"The GUI could be more intuitive. Also, we'd like streaming telemetry. Zabbix might have this feature, but I haven't seen it yet. It took us a long time to get started because the documentation isn't very descriptive. We had to go through various sources like YouTube and forums to get this solution working.""We would like to see the addition of automatic push functionality to this product. This would save time when monitoring our servers and networks as, at present, we have to manually install the Zabbix agent on any hardware to be monitored.""Zabbix is powerful, but it is difficult to understand initially. There are many things that can be improved, but we might not be using Zabbix to its fullest extent. The software has more features than we need.""The performance reporting could be improved.""If Zabbix had a better dashboard then it would be nice.""It should be easy to modify the front end.""We would like to monitor other touchpoints such as ATM machines. It would be great if it can provide monitoring of ATM machines. Compatibility with other products would also be great.""I had problems using Zabbix when working with SUSE Enterprise; many companies use SUSE."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
