We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Citrix is one of the companies that is delivering virtual apps and desktops in a big way. They are mature enough to understand the level of stability required and deliver it.""Stable product with straightforward setup.""Security is a shining point of the Citrix Workspace. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is a very robust solution when security is a concern. Furthermore, the content collaboration data-hosting that Citrix integrates with Virtual Apps and Desktops is among the best there is.""The App is the most valuable feature.""The only thing that is really important for me is being able to connect from wherever I am. It is important for me because sometimes I am in places where there are not enough safe conditions to be able to work safely, in terms of security and confidentiality of my data. Being able to access internal resources from a secure platform allows me to work without fearing that my data has been stolen.""Among the most valuable features is the Citrix Workspace, which allows us to drive that thin-client connection and the remote control/remote access capabilities. Those things have allowed us to connect an awful lot of people quickly from home and that's obviously helped during the pandemic.""It provides the flexibility of being used on any device which makes the employee experience better, in terms of ease of use.""The product is stable."

"It saves us drive time, we don't have to go to clients. We can just use remote access.""For me, it's convenience because I cover three different offices, and I need to be able to remotely access any of those three offices from anywhere, anytime. With LogMeIn Central, I can do that.""No issues with stability. It has worked on every platform I’ve tried it on, and not interfered with anything.""The ability to remotely access machines with no user intervention required at the remote terminal. Other software we used needed someone to click a link and do a download for me to provide support. Now, with LogMeIn Central, I can get in and fix things while they are away from their desks.""Unattended remote assistance.""It allows you to transfer along with many other functions.""I like the options for multiple displays. The unattended access is very useful, but it can also be misused. So, it is something you have to be careful with.""This solution has allowed granular permission access to machines, very consistent and solid most of the time."

Cons
"My only issue with Citrix is that they frequently rebrand their products. I'm using the app and everything is fine but after a couple of years, it's entirely different. There were an enormous number of Citrix tools readily available. My immediate concern was selecting the correct ones.""The visibility the solution provides across SaaS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, for user and application traffic, is also limited if you do not enable all the services and is based on which services you are utilising. Citrix provides end-to-end visibility based on their services you are utilising.""Licensing service installation and configuration was the biggest challenge for all Citrix solutions, but now they have fixed a lot of issues.""I think improvement around the Analytics piece is super important. There has been a lot of maturity over the last year in that area, though a lot more needs to be done. Also, a lot more of the value of those Analytics needs to be sold to end users. Citrix is working on a lot of things that are ahead of the curve and a lot of organizations aren't quite there yet with implementing those technologies and capabilities.""It is not easy to set up.""The user profiles could use some improvement.""Tech support can be slow if you do not receive help from the US representatives.""The support offered by Citrix's partner needs to improve. The partner support platform should aim to provide more technical information to users."

More Citrix DaaS (formerly Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service) Cons →

"Do not use the technical support.""It is easy to get locked out, which is something that needs to be improved.""The screen. Make it clearer. The screen resolutions don't always line up. So clarity of the screen, and speed.""The initial load is terribly slow and often has delays with the login page loading.""It's not really a true RMM product but more of just a remote access.""I do not like the antivirus.""I have had issues where LogMeIn has not been useful, then we have not been able to work that day. This happens probably two or three times a year.""The solution is expensive as hell."

  • "It sucks that I am paying for LogMeIn Central, LogMeIn Pro, and LogMeIn Rescue, plus LogMeIn Ignition, which is the mobile app. It costs me a lot of money every month at LogMeIn. "
  • "It really is an expensive product for me."
  • "Pricing is a little on the expensive side, compared to what TeamViewer has offered."

  • "The price is a little high but it's competitive. The licensing process is fairly easy."
  • "It's probably worth the value, but the price increases over the last five years are getting harder to justify."
  • "We went with it for pricing reasons, that it was the biggest bang for our buck, by combining the ability to have a central security console, as well as a central point for user administration."
