We performed a comparison between Databrick and Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison of Results: Based on the parameters we compared, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio seems to be a slightly superior solution. All other things being more or less equal, our reviewers found Databricks rather expensive to purchase. Some users also feel that Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio has better machine learning capabilities.
"A very valuable feature is the data processing, and the solution is specifically good at using the Spark ecosystem."
"It's very simple to use Databricks Apache Spark."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to use SQL directly with Databricks."
"The solution's features are fantastic and include interactive clusters that perform at top speed when compared to other solutions."
"Databricks is a scalable solution. It is the largest advantage of the solution."
"The solution is very simple and stable."
"I like how easy it is to share your notebook with others. You can give people permission to read or edit. I think that's a great feature. You can also pull in code from GitHub pretty easily. I didn't use it that often, but I think that's a cool feature."
"The solution is very easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is the knowledge bank, which allows us to ask questions and the AI will automatically pull the pre-prescribed responses."
"Regarding the technical support for the solution, I find the documentation provided comprehensive and helpful."
"The solution is very fast and simple for a data science solution."
"The solution is easy to use and has good automation capabilities in conjunction with Azure DevOps."
"Auto email and studio are great features."
"The visualizations are great. It makes it very easy to understand which model is working and why."
"It is a scalable solution…It is a pretty stable solution…The solution's initial setup process was pretty straightforward."
"Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio is easy to use and deploy."
"Databricks would have more collaborative features than it has. It should have some more customization for the jobs."
"Databricks has a lack of debuggers, and it would be good to see more components."
"I would like it if Databricks adopted an interface more like R Studio. When I create a data frame or a table, R Studio provides a preview of the data. In R Studio, I can see that it created a table with so many columns or rows. Then I can click on it and open a preview of that data."
"Support for Microsoft technology and the compatibility with the .NET framework is somewhat missing."
"Databricks is an analytics platform. It should offer more data science. It should have more features for data scientists to work with."
"This solution only supports queries in SQL and Python, which is a bit limiting."
"It would be better if it were faster. It can be slow, and it can be super fast for big data. But for small data, sometimes there is a sub-second response, which can be considered slow. In the next release, I would like to have automatic creation of APIs because they don't have it at the moment, and I spend a lot of time building them."
"The product cannot be integrated with a popular coding IDE."
"I think it should be made cheaper for certain people…It may appear costlier for those who don't consider time important."
"The AutoML feature is very basic and they should improve it by using a more robust algorithm."
"The price of the solution has room for improvement."
"The product must improve its documentation."
"Using the solution requires some specific learning which can take some time."
"There should be data access security, a role level security. Right now, they don't offer this."
"I would like to see modules to handle Deep Learning frameworks."
"Overall, the icons in the solution could be improved to provide better guidance to users. Additionally, the setup process for the solution could be made easier."
