We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I don't need to carry my laptop while traveling. I just synchronize whatever I've been doing to Dropbox. After the document is synchronized, I can leave my laptop and use Dropbox wherever I am. I can also easily share a document with my colleagues, no matter how big it is. I can allow them to edit, and the editing will be instant. I can see whatever changes they've made to the document. It doesn't delete a document automatically. If I make a mistake and delete a file, it doesn't automatically delete the file. It gives you the warning to say you're deleting a file. In terms of security, I haven't had any challenges with Dropbox where they tell you that your data is compromised.""The performance has been good.""A valuable feature is that it's useful for exchanging large files and documents. I'm happy with it.""Dropbox is easy to use.""The features that I find most valuable are the ability to sync across devices, easily access/share files and organize them among myself and my team.""We haven't had any issues at all with the solution.""The solution provides great performance.""The solution is easy to use."

"It's a secure solution that enables you to choose those you wish to share with.""Being able to back up our data on Google Drive is a critical and valuable feature for our customers. It is just in sync. Imagine you change a file on the desktop, and it gets updated directly to your Google Drive. Our laptop is completely in sync with Google Drive. Google Meet, Google Sheets, and Google Docs are also amazing products. They're very versatile and easy to use as compared to Office 365. I am using Google Sheets and Google Docs, which first save the work on my memory or ROM, and then on my RAM. It gives me better productivity through Google Sheets and Google Docs.""The user interface is fantastic. It's also available for the individual person, so that's also a great thing about it.""I like the capabilities for collaboration on any platform. For example, I might be on an iPad whereas the person next to me is on a laptop and the person next to them is on their phone. We can all collaborate together and update documentation in real-time.""I use Keep to assign tasks to a team of programmers, which is very easy.""The most valuable features are the speed at which G Suite Enterprise works.""Good search features, reliable storage, and quick thinking.""Convenient to share and collaborate documents."

Cons
"I would like to see an option to secure my files and set password protection to my folders.""Dropbox could make the installation and the log of what has changed in a file easier. Showing logs could be more accessible.""It would be good if they could market themselves as a safe solution for corporates. Currently, most corporates don't see it as a safe area to share within.""The solution could improve by being more secure and having more storage.""The interface could have bigger buttons.""For us, storage is an issue. The free version is too small in terms of the amount of storage on offer.""There is a potential improvement regarding storage capacity and offering more than its current four gigabytes.""Considering the solution's shortcomings, I want the product to be more user-friendly and offer more storage capacity."

More Dropbox Cons →

"For Google Docs, if you upload a Word document up to Google Docs, it could mess up your formatting quite a bit.""There are times the plugins or extensions in the solution do not work properly and I need to disable and enable the solution.""Expensive with a complicated licensing structure.""Google Meet can have a bit more functionality. It should show the views of more people. Right now, it shows just eight at a maximum, or six. When there are more people on the call, more than eight, everyone is not showing.""With Microsoft, you can use it on the web version, and you can use Microsoft Outlook. Google has the web version.""Sometimes, I would like to be able to use the solution offline, and I can't do so. It would be ideal if there was some sort of offline mode available.""I believe that Sheets could have a more functional and user-friendly interface. Google Sheets currently lacks macros and cross file links which can be found in Excel.""I don't recommend Google Workspace to others. It's expensive. Also, Google doesn't have enough oversight on their partners, so you will face some difficulties dealing with them instead of directly with Google."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Dropbox offers a freemium model which is very convenient and affordable. Beyond that, the pricing is favorable."
  • "Given the price and limitations, there are more competitive options available."
  • "A bigger discount for existing users would be appreciated."
  • "I am using the free solution, which provides me with 2GBs of storage, and for me, it's sufficient."
  • "Its price is quite cheap. It is quite competitive. You just need to pay for the license. There are no additional costs."
  • "You pay as you go, which is a good thing. There is a monthly fee, and you can also pay annually. This flexibility makes the subscription easier and affordable for some of us. I prefer yearly pricing, which is also slightly cheaper than monthly pricing."
  • "It has some free features, but for some of the features, you need to pay. If you need more storage, then you need to pay. Its licensing probably is on a monthly basis."
  • "I am on a monthly subscription for the solution and I am somewhat satisfied with the pricing. However, the price could a bit better."

  • "G Suite and Microsoft Office 365 offer products with similar functionality at several different price points. Zoho offer a more extensive range of products and attempts to provide all the applications required to run most small and medium-sized businesses."
  • "Careful consideration should be given to the different licensing options and provisions should be made for additional applications that may be required for your particular business."
  • "Traffic management tools may be required for larger setups and should be included in any pricing calculations."
  • "There are several areas where a G Suite implementation can reduce costs: lower license fees than some competing products, reduced hardware, and IT support costs."
  • "There are benefits that can provide a competitive advantage, e.g., improved productivity (with appropriate training), increased collaboration (with correct use of tools), flexible working - work from home or remote locations, easy to scale - fast onboarding of new employees, and ability to add and remove licenses, as required."
  • "We receive value for the price that we pay."
  • "The pricing is a bit on the higher side than normal. For a basic Google account it costs $100, but Enterprise is %150."
  • "The price per client within the business is too high."

    Overview

Dropbox provides cloud-based file syncing, sharing, and storage. It specializes in helping large-scale businesses stay organized and productive while protecting the integrity of sensitive information with enterprise-level security. Dropbox is a valuable solution for businesses looking to simplify communication, safeguard information, and improve collaboration. Dropbox's platform provides a user-friendly, real-time sharing and storage solution for large businesses.

The company's enterprise-level service plan includes 256-bit AES and SSL encryption, an optional two-step verification process, and optional mobile passcodes, which provide tight security to protect sensitive information. Dropbox uniquely offers a remote wipe feature, which allows businesses to keep data safe when an employee leaves the company or a computer is lost.

Dropbox stands out from the competition by offering businesses expanded storage, unlimited file recovery and versioning, and control over sharing permissions. Additionally, Dropbox provides businesses with team management solutions, including device and location tracking, login tracking, detailed user management options for administrators, and centralized billing.

Collaboration between team members is further simplified with the addition of various Dropbox apps that allow advanced functionality such as document editing, CRM, and e-signatures. Dropbox has become one of the most popular business tools, entrusted by 97 percent of all Fortune 500 companies.

Before implementing Dropbox, global apparel merchandiser BCBGMAXAZRIA was struggling to structure communication and increase company-wide efficiency, which resulted in the need for increased staff hours and expenses. Since choosing Dropbox as its cloud-based sharing and storage solution, BCBGMAXAZRIA has been able to restructure its file sharing and collaboration streams in every department. As a result, BCBGMAXAZRIA is able to boost efficiency, reduce expenses, and protect its information throughout all 550 locations.

Similar to G Suite, all Google Workspace plans provide a custom email for your business and include collaboration tools like Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, and more.

As we’ve evolved G Suite into a more integrated experience across our communication and collaboration tools, we’ve rebranded to Google Workspace to more accurately represent the product vision.
