We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best feature in Omada Identity is that it enables us to implement standardized employee life cycle processes so that we don't have to create them ourselves. We can then use the standard workflows. The breadth and scope of the solution’s IGA features also fulfill our requirements.""We don't have to go in and do a lot of the work that we did before. It may have saved us somewhere in the range of 10 to 30 percent of the time we spent on provisioning access.""The customer success and support teams have been crucial.""The most valuable feature for us is the ability to set up connectors to various IT systems and offer a wide range of supported connectors.""Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs.""Omada's user interface is elegant and easy to work with. I like Omada's ability to automatically generate accounts for new hires and allow them access to all required systems by established policies. Around 80 percent of workers can start working immediately on their first day without requesting further access.""For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand.""We used to have a problem where an employee's access wasn't terminated when they left the company. Now, we have much better visibility into and control over who has access."

"The solution is very scalable. We have a lot of users that have been increasing over the years that we have been using it. We have approximately 20,000 users.""Even though we have very small business interests with them today, they see that we plan on growing drastically over the next two years. Therefore, we have excellent support and we are now at a point where we are not calling tech support. We pick up a phone and call the Account Manager and they'll get everything resolved for us. We don't have to queue along with everybody else and go through a long process.""We used it to implement multi-factor authentication and to improve our security posture as well as reducing the potential for attacks.""Easy to customize and adaptable to any environment.""The solution integrates well and it is important for them to keep up with the current trends in the market quickly enough, and they have been doing a good job at it.""Installation and configuration are pretty easy for ForgeRock OpenIDM.""We create and define the permissions and configurations for the users.""ForgeRock has CIAM, which other products didn't have, and they have DevOps ready."

More ForgeRock Pros →

"The solution is pretty stable and simple to use.""Provides good authorization and authentication system functionality.""Good life cycle management, segregation of duties, and analytics features.""The solution is stable and reliable.""The solution is one of the main security products you need to control access and have visibility into what's happening in your organization. It helps with managing access to applications, ensuring governance, and obtaining certifications.""Has a great certification module with intuitive options.""One of the most valuable aspects of SailPoint is its open integration interface.""The first valuable feature of the solution is its interface. The second feature of the solution is the level of flexibility it provides."

Cons
"I would like to see them expand the functionality of the tool to continue to be competitive with the monsters out there. For example, they could add functionality on the authentication side, functionality that Octa and SailPoint have. But they should do that while maintaining the same simplicity that makes Omada a product of choice today.""The current reporting tools in Omada are limited, but we expect significant improvements in the new version.""It is not possible to customize reports on Omada Identity.""When making a process, you should be able to use some coding to do some advanced calculations. The calculations you can currently do are too basic. I would also like some additional script features.""One thing that we are not so happy about is the user interface. It is a bit dated. I know that they are working on that, but the user interface is quite dated. Currently, it is a little bit difficult to customize the user interface to the need of the business, which is a little bit disappointing. It needs it to be a little bit easier to operate, and it should have a better user interface.""Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex. This is common for most of the products we evaluated. Its scalability should be better. It had a few scalability issues.""The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in.""When you do a recalculation of an identity, it's hard to understand what was incorrect before you started the recalculation, and which values are actually updated... all you see are all the new fields that are provisioned, instead of seeing only the fields that are changed."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"The user interface could be improved as it is cumbersome and outdated. It doesn't have a responsive UI.""The solution could improve by adding more advertising and marketing.""The identity management model needs a bit of improvement.""The solution requires more simplified customization. However, part of the problem is my clients determining their own preferences. Technology can help and do many things, but you have to define your own policies to ensure that the solution or service works within those parameters. Helping customers understand their business and different processes is another issue not relating to the functionality of this solution.""The only problem with ForgeRock is that it is derived from an open-source product, so sometimes it's a bit unstable.""They should improve the solution by include reporting.""It should have a better user interface. Its flexibility should also be improved. It is not about simplifying; it is more about flexibility. Each company has its own requirements, and ForgeRock can provide more flexibility in terms of the use of existing modules to implement features for the customers.""ForgeRock is an open source solution and is available to everyone but it is not freeware. If you need support, you need a subscription for ForgeRock. Many of its functionalities need to be built up with the help of a consultant."

More ForgeRock Cons →

"What it doesn't do is provide notice in the event of a vulnerability or offense from the security.""The price of IdentityIQ could be lower. There are additional costs when you buy the licenses, and they force the customers to pay for them.""There are various functions that don't work in IdentityIQ, including the access request reminder, which doesn't go to the approvals in the proper format, so it's hard for users to read.""Certifications could include additional access levels or practices.""Scalability is hard, especially when you are doing it in real time.""The UI is complex.""Competitors are advancing by offering integrated solutions encompassing access and privileged access management in a single unified platform. IdentityIQ's focus has remained primarily on identity and access governance, neglecting to expand its offerings to include these additional functionalities within its existing product. Enhancing their product by incorporating modules for access management, privileged access management, and third-party access governance could address this gap.""We have had a lot of service breaks because of the lack of support."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
  • More Omada Identity Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "It's a bit pricey and could be more competitive."
  • "We have multiple clients we are looking at right now. We are at a very small number, however, the idea and the goal is to grow. We are looking at about $100,000 and $50,000 a minimum a month cost. That'd be minimum maybe in a couple of years."
  • "Its price is comparable to other products in the market."
  • "Its licensing is on a yearly basis, but it also depends on the contract that you have with the vendor. They have multiple types of contracts. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees. If you need some of the features, you have to pay more."
  • "The license is purchased annually per user. However, you can negotiate if you are signing for a longer period of time. When comparing this solution to others on the market it is priced fair, it is not at the top of the price range or at the bottom end."
  • "The pricing of the solution is fair but I do not have the full details."
  • "ForgeRock's pricing is more competitive than other products."
  • "ForgeRock is an expensive solution."
  • More ForgeRock Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "SailPoint IIQ is the best of best. That is reflected in the pricing of the solution. The pricing is based on the number of identities."
  • "They are expensive."
  • "The licensing fees are on a yearly basis."
  • "SailPoint is higher in price as compared to Saviynt. The initial cost of SailPoint is very high. There are additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
  • "Its price is okay. It provides good value for money. It is subscription-based. You can go for a one-year or three-year subscription."
  • "The price of the solution could improve, it is not priced well for smaller businesses to afford."
  • "It is a costly solution. Its cost, for sure, should be reduced."
  • "You do pay one price for the license but that price depends on what you choose to include as far as the optional modules go."

    Reviews from Real Users

ForgeRock stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its robust identity and access tools and its being easy to manage and scale with one central dashboard.

PeerSpot users note the effectiveness of these features. A technology solutions leader at an outsourcing company writes, “We need it for multiple clients, multiple implementations. Not all of them are necessarily a multi-tenant solution. We need a very versatile solution that can do a lot of work, but from a single instance that we can centralize authentications and we don't duplicate the efforts and that's where ForgeRock seems to do better.”

Mohamed B., a cyber security consultant at a tech company, writes, "Their access management solution, OpenAM, is most valuable because it meets the needs of a lot of users. ForgeRock secured our system so that it is accessed only by authorized people, and it implemented the SSO."
