"Collecting data in standard formats for processing in a data warehouse.""The ease of use is consistently there.""The solution's UI is user friendly and has good performance and good search facility.""It has worked fine for many years.""I like that JD Edwards World is perfect for my use cases, but what I like best about it is its navigation.""The most valuable feature of JD Edwards World is its ease of use and unique functions.""We've found the initial setup to be easy.""The pricing is okay. It's not overly expensive."

"Microsoft Dynamics NAV is brilliant and it's a different segment when comparing it with Dynamics AX. Dynamics AX is a larger product with much more features and it's aimed at a different segment of the market.""It is a stable solution.""The tool covers most of the business requirements that most companies have, especially financial institutions.""The vertical covers all aspects of functionality and integrates easily with the existing Office products.""The platform offers a robust and comprehensive cycle for supply chain and inventory management, with features like minimum and maximum settings, dynamic monitoring of inventory levels, and integration with Microsoft's AI capabilities.""Microsoft products are very good in general. This product is flexible, easy to use, intuitive, and has good capabilities.""NAV covers everything from purchasing and selling items to invoicing. Everything is within NAV, so it's all very neat.""This is readily available and affordable, as well as user-friendly and simple to use in my opinion."

Cons
"There are a lot of new technologies coming out and JD Edwards World could improve by having better integration with other databases. The integration with the databases and applications should be in real-time, such as with Oracle.""I have more than 18 years of JDE experience in JDE EnterpriseOne and World versions. I think JDE is good but compared to SAP and Oracle EPS, we can see which area needs to have some improvement for JDE.""I would like report creation to be easier.""World is old, so everybody is looking to just upgrade or migrate from it.""There is no support from Oracle here. We only have third-party support.""Improvements are needed in transitioning JD Edwards World to a more stable and reliable cloud product, particularly in terms of GDPR and data privacy compliance.""Update interface capabilities and data maintenance tools to modern standards.""The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable so that it could be available to a broader audience. My clients want more analytics or data analysis features from JD Edwards World."

More JD Edwards World Cons →

"Any request that had come from the website had to go through an e-form which was then plugged into Microsoft Dynamics NAV. There was no direct data capture. That was the pain point, where clients had to build e-forms, and that caused delays in transactions and getting information.""The price of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central could be reduced.""The Power BI integration could be more seamless.""The stability could always be improved.""In the next release, I would like to see a quality check module - Navision doesn't have one, and the industry very much requires it.""It could be more stable.""Customization and costs could be improved.""Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central has been buggy in my experience and they should improve in this area. Additionally, there are too many updates. The updates involve a whole bunch of applications as part of the package, such as the Edge browser. The updates are too broad across the whole package of applications."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The price of JD Edwards World is reasonable. Since it is a legacy solution the price has been reduced."
  • "The pricing for JD Edwards World could be more affordable."
  • "You have to pay for a license, and the license cost is calculated based on the number of users you have."
  • More JD Edwards World Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The first time we tried to buy the newest version, it was expensive."
  • "I have some subscription-based customer and a few customers who have perpetual licenses that hosted the application on the cloud."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "The price of the solution is reasonable."
  • "I think the pricing is the best; it's cost effective for sure."
  • "Microsoft Dynamics NAV has a pay-as-you-use payment model."
  • "NAV might be a little pricey for a small or medium-sized company, but all the solutions out there are."
  • "The cost is one of the benefits. If you don't want to go for the full-blown finance and operations, the pricing model is a lot cheaper and has now switched to being based on a per-user subscription. So, if it's on cloud, you now have an expense instead of a large CapEx. If it's on-prem, you obviously still have to continue with the licensing model that they have, but if you compare the features and functionality, in terms of the price that you pay, I find it's better than other products. My answer on the pricing would be slightly different, depending on the country you're in and the return on investment, based on the size of the company. It's well-priced internationally. I think the new model is priced even better because it's now subscription-based and, if you go for cloud, the return on investment is a lot quicker and if it's expense, you can cap it. If you do take the on-prem version, the licensing is still priced as what it used to be, so that would depend on what country you are in."
