We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"For Windows services, there are multiple options within Intune to modernize it to be more internet-facing and dynamic.""The best feature is that we don't need to worry about downtime. We don't need to worry about the network connections of our office or the virtual private network. Everything is being done through the internet. Using Intune Autopilot, we can configure and deploy everything to the devices.""By using Microsoft Intune we can control which websites the users can go to and it provides a secure environment for our employees using their laptops that are having access from home. We have installed Intune to control the user's environment minimizing the chances of any hacking.""Users can make screenshots, and devices only need the minimal version of iOS.""Stable solution at a good price.""Easy to use.""The policy and compliance monitoring of devices and the software deployment are most valuable.""The most valuable feature of Intune is the central dashboard for compliance and policy management."

"It offers very helpful support. The technical team is very helpful.""We face no challenges in integrating the product with our legacy systems.""It is a very stable solution.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""We find the solution to be stable.""The most valuable features are ease of operation and visibility.""It is a very scalable solution.""One of the most beneficial features of the solution is the user provisioning and the de-provisioning feature."

Cons
"One area for improvement is app deployment. Another is the Windows update rollout. If you're rolling out an object to a device that's offline, Intune stops trying to reach this device after it sits idle for a bit. We are forced to find a workaround that could help manage that.""There is room for improvement in integrating additional features such as Purview and SharePoint activities into Intune.""It should be simplified. I've worked with many different mobile device management solutions, and Intune is one of the more complex ones. It could be more simplified, and some of it is related to the wording that is being used, such as a configuration profile versus a policy. They really should have had different names to make it less confusing.""I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product.""In the next release, I would like a feature to be able to properly lock down the device. For example, if an attacker or somebody steals the phone, you can be sure that the pin cannot be broken.""The scalability could be improved, and like most other MDM products, Intune is good but not 100% there yet.""In an upcoming release, I would like to see some kind of analytics report.""Integrating certain group policies can be challenging and may necessitate using on-premises systems to integrate them with Microsoft Intune."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The initial setup can be complex at first.""The ability or the options in the solution for changing the look and feel are not good enough because in our partner portal, essentially what they have is an ugly admin interface.""There are some issues with the interface that can be improved.""The solution’s policies are difficult to understand due to the policy methods. They use authentication. The solution’s workflow is also difficult and not very active. They need to have proper documentation on it. In the next release, I would like to see the workflows being more digestible.""We have experienced some challenges in integrating this solution with Scope and Cognito.""UD attribute mapping, Okta group rules, and dynamic usage could use improvement. It also needs more in-depth functionality and features to integrate with RADIUS solutions.""It only facilitates provisioning and not de-provisioning.""The solution is very expensive."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
