Find out in this report how the two Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."One of the standout features of Intune is its seamless accessibility to work data, eliminating the need to be tied to an office or a desktop."
"The solution has reduced the risk of security breaches by 30%."
"I like the group policy management feature, which performs application monitoring and device enrollment."
"We have found the solution is capable of scaling."
"The initial setup is not complex."
"While Microsoft Intune boasts a wide range of features, its user-friendliness and bundled licensing cost are key considerations for me."
"The ability to send configurations to our systems is valuable, particularly as we don't have a regular Windows AD server. Our current environment doesn't have a Windows AD, which limits our ability to push GPOs. However, this is where the solution can step in and help us push policies."
"Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy."
"Navigation is straightforward. It's not hard to create policies and manage the device. It's a lot simpler to create smart groups, view inventory, and see what the estate looks like."
"One of the most valuable features is the ability to apply apply granular level restrictions to our machines, making them easy to manage remotely from the backend."
"It's a great way to keep track of all of our licenses and the software we use daily."
"If I need to deploy an app to all the laptops, I can use the smart group I created for them instead of choosing each device one at a time."
"It offers professionals an endless amount of possibilities to keep users and the company happy."
"I can set policies to manage devices by many variables OR keep it simple by leveraging DEP to assign new devices the standard apps."
"The self-service portal enables standard users to install and update software, change settings, and open organizational URLs."
"We have been able to successfully manage applications and inventory within our machines."
"The stability is very good."
"The patch management aspect of the solution is the most valuable part for us."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The solution is stable."
"The dashboard has been very useful."
"The most valuable feature of ManageEngine Endpoint Central is the central management console. Additionally, inventory tracking is helpful for knowing where our assets are."
"Has good functionality and is user-friendly."
"The solution is time-saving and resource-saving."
"In terms of what can be improved, I am looking for better enhancements regarding Apple management, not only on the mobile device, but also on the laptop."
"Microsoft Intune could enhance its patch management for various devices, ensuring regular updates and tracking of device privileges."
"No option to do end-to-en macOS management. Slow implementation of policies."
"There's quite a lot of development that they can do within their Intune dashboard. I think there are too many lines hyperlinked to move you around. Others, in contrast, give you a simple dashboard and an intuitive administrative walkthrough."
"The synchronization could be improved."
"Regarding mobile devices, Intune is good, but there are other services that I would say are ahead of Intune from an administration and reporting point of view."
"The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products."
"It's the granularity: 'Is your firewall on? Is BitLocker on?' It's not amazing granularity. But I've looked into other products, like Duo, and they're all similar."
"We need better reporting options."
"I think there's room for improvement on the automation. For example, uploading a package to Jamf Pro and then updating the policy and other aspects, should be automatic. For instance, if I put a new version of the software, version 11 and the previous one was 10, Jamf Pro should be able to recognize if there's an update and update the policy automatically. It's not a big deal, but I think there's room for improvement."
"I'd like to see Jamf add Unified Endpoint Management, but it's not going to happen. It's too complex. We tried that for so many years, and no one can do this for Windows and macOS. It can be done with iOS, but that's not the case here. If you want device management for a real laptop operating system, you need two systems. They're very different."
"Jamf Pro currently is only used on Mac computers and could improve by having compatibility with other operating systems. We have to use other tools to manage our Windows and Android devices. There could be other improvements but I am still exploring and learning more about the features."
"The upgrade process of this solutions could be improved. It is not possible to use Jamf Pro to upgrade devices."
"One of the big areas in need of improvement is automated device naming for computers."
"I'm not exactly sure where it could be improved off the top of my head, but there is room for improvement."
"Jamf Pro could be improved by providing more out-of-the-box integration with other systems such as Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, and other IT management tools."
"The team I've currently got is not using it particularly well, due to the fact that they don't know how to use it particularly well. They've not done any training and so on."
"It is compatible with the systems such as Windows and Mac but not with Linux systems."
"The reports provided by the product are an area of concern where improvements are required. The visibility provided by the reports is not very attractive."
"Its licensing should be improved."
"ManageEngine Desktop Central is very limited. When you scan your system, it will only recognize Microsoft Windows Defender and BitLocker."
"Improvement of the chats on the web communication through the WAN would be helpful."
"There is a slight delay in customer support, which is something that can be improved."
"The reporting analytics could improve in ManageEngine Desktop Central. However, there are some third-party add-ins or modules you can purchase to do reporting analytics."
