"The spam filtering, in particular, is very important for us. We have a large volume of emails each month, something like 200,000, and Barracuda filters about 85 percent of the spam, malware, and phishing that comes in. It prevents our users from receiving this content on their computers."

"It is very simple to whitelist addresses."
"Thanks to Barracuda Email Security Gateway, I have seen increases in productivity and functionality in terms of spam reduction and filtering against different threats, which is a benefit by default."

"I think the spamming feature is very valuable."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the tool's ability to prevent phishing attacks."
"The deployment is simple and once up and running it is easy to manage."
"Its integration with other solutions can be improved. There should be integration for telemetry information, system information, and other types of information with other solutions. Barracuda currently doesn't have that. Barracuda has its own platform. Its integration with firewalls is quite good, and it communicates really well with firewalls, but I have not seen any other integration. Based on what I know, it does have an API at the backend, but I have not used it."
"The spam filtering is a little too aggressive. You can not get granular enough to back off on what is considered spam and what is not."
"The deep scanning feature needs to be improved."
"There are limited administration controls that should be improved."
"The solution should add automatic alerts to the mobile."
"Barracuda Email Security Gateway should include ATP in the next release."
"Some customers experience issues with integration."
"I have noticed that it takes a little time to get familiar with after deploying and some tweaks need to be done as things come up."
"Fortinet FortiMail could improve general user management. There are no password policies for users."
"It's difficult for me to talk about areas for improvement in Fortinet FortiMail because I'm the general manager of the company and I'm an engineer with knowledge about the solution, but I'm not deeply involved in its implementation. As I mentioned previously, Fortinet FortiMail is also being used within the company, and I'm happy with its functionality, but sometimes, attacks pass and avoid the Fortinet FortiMail filters, but those could be very sophisticated attacks. There could still be an improvement in the filtering feature of the solution, though the security of Fortinet FortiMail is okay for me because I believe you can't implement one hundred percent security in any solution. The initial setup for the solution also needs improvement. The setup is supposed to be simple, but then the customer starts to complain that some of the false positive emails are reaching quarantine, so my team has to configure it again. There have been instances when Fortinet FortiMail rejects valid emails because some of the service partners of the customer have not been configured accurately, so the system considered valid mails as attacks to be quarantined, so aside from improving the filters, there should also be an improvement in the categorization of emails in the server. My team has to modify the configuration so that valid emails could pass and for Fortinet FortiMail to correctly filter the SPAM traffic. A feature that could be added to Fortinet FortiMail in its next release is advanced AI, so it can analyze and decide accurately on which mail is valid and which mail is SPAM."
"They should add a lot of threat-intelligence feeds from different sources - not only from one source (FortiGuard)."
"Sometimes, the tool flags legitimate incoming traffic as spam."
"Limited ability to upgrade hardware may lead to some performance issues that might otherwise be improved."
"Sometimes, authentic emails get blocked by the solution's firewall."
"Fortinet FortiMail's pricing could be improved."
"Improving the upgrade process, making it more user-friendly, and simplifying the management of hardware components could enhance the overall user experience and appeal of Fortinet's email security solution."
