Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Intune's feature that I have found most valuable is its auto-pilot feature.""Maturity makes it a stable product.""Intune provides full visibility into all active mobile device users. If their devices are noncompliant with our security policies, I have the flexibility to update them remotely.""It's really easy to access.""It is quite policy-enabled, so you can build pretty much any policy to manage remote endpoints.""Mobile device management is most valuable.""Intune device restriction policies enable me to enforce limitations on the device, like blocking the mobile camera or restricting the employees from using and inserting USB devices, including thumb drives and flash drives.""The aspects I find most valuable are the managing the data and applications. I can also restrict the users to install any applications. I can also wipe the data if the phone was missplaced or stolen. These are the basics for me."

"Security is the main feature because the company is reliable.""Meraki Systems Manager's most valuable features are password management, device tracking, remote resetting and wiping, device management, inventory management, and easy policy deployment.""The most significant benefit is that the deployment is quick and painless. You don't need a specialized IT department to implement and scale the network. It's easy to maintain, too. It only requires one or two network administrators.""The product provides a universal dashboard.""The web portal provides status reporting and ease of configuration.""The cloud manager is user-friendly, and I can manage everything from one dashboard.""The most valuable features include remote inventory analysis, security features like geofencing, and software distribution.""The best features of Cisco Meraki Systems Manager include its simplicity and ease of use. It is straightforward to set up and manage devices compared to other products."

"It's easy to set up.""The initial setup is easy.""Although we have not looked at the whole product and explored it completely, we find that all the authentication features that we are using now are valuable.""Google Cloud Identity uses what they call organizational units (OUs) instead of the security groups you'd find in Microsoft's Entra.""I used it as an administrator without implementing it myself. As for valuable aspects or benefits, the significant point is that it's a straightforward, single solution that just works.""The most valuable feature is the performance.""One of the most useful features was the single sign-on. You can use it as an identity provider or service provider. And you can use their organization unit feature to enable or disable some of the features for a specific group of users.""It is a stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."

Cons
"It just doesn't handle software updates well at all by itself. You need to be a scripting wizard to make those happen properly, or you use third-party tools. The Windows feature updates are very difficult to implement. I would like to see a proprietary built-in remote control tool. I know that they have Team Viewer integrated, but it is not seamless. It would be nice if they had a seamless remote desktop capability directly from the Intune console.""There is improvement needed in integrating with the installed Office solutions versions, such as Office 2019. The Office 365 integrates without a problem.""Microsoft Intune lacks the ability to provide seamless remote assistance or remote control.""Lacking ability to leverage more iOS device management internally.""It would be good if, in addition to the minimal patching and compliance, we could also use Intune for application deployment. For instance, if a device is not patched, Intune should have the ability to push not only a Microsoft patch but also other patches, such as a browser patch.""The reporting could be improved, as it's pretty poor compared to other products of this type.""The solution can have some compliance problems in general and the end-point user can bypass easily the company policies in Intune.""The synchronization could be improved."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The tool's pricing needs to be more flexible like Cisco's.""The price of the solution could be reduced.""The maintenance is average.""They need to allocate more energy in terms of their offering to devices that are not Apple devices.""Integration with other tools, such as, ConnectWise Automate.""In my opinion, the equipment availabilities and competitive pricings could be improved.""There are problems with the connection on the client side, and the app that was deployed could be better.""Because Cisco has improved a lot and is competing with other technologies that are innovative and brand new to the market, the only improvements they have to make are to keep up with the current competition and remain competitive with other solutions."

More Cisco Meraki Systems Manager (MDM+EMM) Cons →

"If you want to set up some alerts, you don't have much control over the configuration. You have to use their default alerts. And they only provide alerts for certain activities, so you cannot customize those. Monitoring isn't very helpful either.""Technical support is slow.""The interface could be improved by simplifying it further.""Google Cloud Identity the UI could improve.""In the next release, I would like to see integration with different systems, mainly wireless SIEMS and other analytical systems that we want to introduce.""The pricing for this solution is a little bit higher than AWS and others, which is something that should be improved.""To improve the product, the integration with third-party products could always be smoother.""The solution's storage capacity could be increased."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Every user is unique. Every device, a bit different. Systems Manager keeps the network in the loop about constantly changing devices, automatically tracking device posture and adjusting security policies to match.

Cloud Identity is an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) and enterprise mobility management (EMM) product. It offers the identity services and endpoint administration that are available in G Suite as a stand-alone product. As an administrator, you can use Cloud Identity to manage your users, apps, and devices from a central location - the Google Admin console.
