Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has strong sales, purchase, warehousing, and logistics order management.""I would say that it is typically used by large-scale manufacturing industries, especially in discrete manufacturing, and it has proven to work brilliantly.""Infor LN has basically the same structure as CloudSuite Industrial, but LN has more advanced planning tools for manufacturing.""The most valuable features are manufacturing, and manufacturing costing modules. These are all powerful features of Infor LN.""Material planning and predictive planning are both essential aspects.""The best thing about Infor LN is that you can use it for inter-company business and for international businesses, especially by mid-sized and big companies.""Most of them who use Infor LN have add-ons connected to ERP. It's either a supplier exchange, or they've got sales problems that are integrated with it.""The most valuable feature is its ability to handle products with up to 2,500 components, making it valuable for streamlining complex business operations."

"It provides one overview of the capacity planning.""The implementation is very straightforward.""Continuing to use it enabled continuity of business.""SAP ERP provides the perfect database and options for additional production. It's also good for finance analytics, production drill-down, and other types of analysis.""It is a comprehensive and robust solution. It can provide lots of functional features.""ERP is stable. The outcome is clear to us as far as the design goes.""Finance view across functions is valuable.""The transactional integration of operations is the best-recommended feature of this product. It provides integration of all operational modules."

Cons
"From a technical perspective, LN needs to work on customization and integration. It's fairly expensive for many clients to migrate from a customized private solution to the cloud. Infor needs to improve the cloud solution to make the migration from the on-prem customized solution faster and smoother. Otherwise, many clients will find it difficult or expensive to do.""The training for Infor LN is not straightforward, so a non-specialist will need training before using it.""Regarding areas for improvement within the solution, I would say that the solution's asset management and quality management need attention.""The user interface is not very intuitive for newer users.""I would like to see the CRM improved. I would also like to see a supply chain management feature.""From a customers' perspective, Infor LN covers most of the processes in the company, but sometimes, they have to choose other tools because of the functionality or the cost of the Infor solution. It covers the core functions of the company—such as financial, operations, logistics, and so on—very well, but it doesn't cover some parts such as invoices, digitization, etc.""One area that could be improved in Omada Access Points is team communication.""The interface can be difficult sometimes. I need to apply a bar code system, such as business intelligence and user interface tools. The user has to be a technician sometimes to use it."

More Infor LN Cons →

"When there is a system error it provides an error code and a lot of times these can be complicated. The support team could have more knowledge to be able to assist with these situations more promptly.""It should be less complex. It should also have better integration capability. I am using the ACC version, and in this version, the integration and the communication are very difficult and complicated.""The problem with SAP is that whenever there is a modification, or if a new field needs to be added, they charge tens of thousands, hundreds, or even two hundred thousand dollars. That is not anything in which I am really interested. For instance, consider a single-use case. I have to enter the root causes for a certain operation or failure. That option does not exist anywhere in SAP, not in manufacturing, not in logistics, not in anything. It is completely missing. The root cause analysis is very common across industries, yet SAP does not offer this option. A line field or a metaparticle, for example, was delayed. If you have the choice to input the warehouse operator or if the person who submitted the document has the opportunity to enter, this has been postponed for N, X, Y, or Z reasons.""Reporting is why most companies need to acquire business intelligence add-on solutions, and when it comes to SAP ERP, they could improve the reporting graphical representation of the data.""The user interface could be improved. For example, sometimes you're missing some data and can't complete a task. There should be some built-in support and suggestions on how to solve your problem. I would also like the interface to be optimized to work better with mobile devices like tablets and smartphones.""Implementing SAP ERP can be very costly, particularly for smaller organizations with limited resources.""Although you can use SAP as a Warehouse Management System, and you don’t need any other program for that purpose, it is not enough as a Transportation Management System. You need another program which is integrated with SAP.""SAP ERP needs to be more innovative when it comes to areas like mobility and the internet."
