Pros
"The talent acquisition and the onboarding components of the system are most valuable."

"PeopleSoft is resilient and has the flexibility for us to customize it.""Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""We use a lot of typical cases from PeopleSoft, for example, solutions for security, business performance, monitoring processes, and a lot of training.""The most valuable feature is IDE.""PeopleSoft has been fairly reliable for us. We haven't had any issues with stability.""I often say that PeopleSoft's greatest feature is how customizable it is.""It's great for helping users deal with their supply chain.""The new version of this solution is very scalable."

Cons
"They could probably add surveying, as in engagement surveys, to their product. That would be something that would be valued by their customers. For instance, Culture Amp is a product that does a lot of the engagement stuff. They're diversifying into other aspects of talent management. It is not yet at the same scale as PageUp People, but it is an excellent product as well."

More PageUp People Cons →

"There can occasionally be complexity in the initial setup.""Scalability is not there in PeopleSoft. Its performance and resilience are also very bad. When you're trying to stretch it, it breaks. It is not resilient. It is also not stable. It is stable as far as data is concerned, but the infrastructure is not stable.""An area for improvement would be that it's quite difficult to learn how to use this product, and the documentation provided isn't helpful in giving you practical advice.""If there is another release, they should look at going to mobile computing to stay competitive.""Areas that need improvement are the add-ons to the fluid pages and additional features in SCM and finance, both functionally and technically.""I would like for the initial rollout process to be completed faster so that it can be implemented in a more efficient manner.""The area that could be improved is the upgrade process, it's not the easiest. Oracle stopped supporting our version. So we have to move either to the cloud or work in a non-supported situation. That was certainly a disadvantage. That's also the reason why we decided not to stay with Oracle. Now we are moving to SAP.""Parsing of CVs is productive but accuracy can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "PageUp has a different model from other organizations. As part of their pricing structure, they tend to work with you very closely and not charge you for the setup. So, there is one price all inclusive of setup, and for that reason, they become an attractive provider to work with. Here in Australia, the education sector has gravitated very heavily towards PageUp."

  • "Check all options before a decision is made."
  • "It's approximately $3,000,000 to $4,000,000 USD per year."
  • "The licensing cost for PeopleSoft is 3,500 per course and the annual subscription fee is 6,500."
  • "I don't know if they are still providing licenses or if they have suspending licenses."
  • "There are no additional costs for licensing."
  • "We are a University and the cost and license are negotiated privately."
  • "The main issue we have with the solution is that it is very expensive."
  • "One of the cheapest solutions available and also one of the best."

    Reviews from Real Users

PeopleSoft is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Some of its major advantages are that it has a lot of functionality and is customizable.

A Regional Director at a tech services company mentions, “The most valuable feature is that it's wide and broad and it does about everything anybody needs in a major organization from a back-office systems point of view.”

"PeopleSoft is a good core system. It has a lot of functionality. "They frequently update the solution and recently they have added some good enhancement features for higher education. We just switched to the new fluid interface and that is working very well for us. It is very good," says another reviewer who is an HR/Pay Systems Administrator/Director at a university.

A Senior Manager for DevOps Infrastructure at a financial services firm, explains why he finds the solution so beneficial: "It is a customizable product.
