SAP Business One Reviews

I mainly use Business One to manage operations, including finance and sales.

Business One's best feature is transport management and collections.

There are problems with Business One's collection management and reconciliation. It's also quite difficult to automate with external systems, and its reporting could be clearer. In the next release, Business One should include automation for mobile apps.

I've been using Business One for over seven years.

Business One is stable.

Business One is scalable.

SAP's technical support used to be good but has become very unresponsive.

I previously used SAP S/4.

The initial setup was a very simple process and took a couple of hours since we were using a client web version.

Business One's prices are really high, with a one-time cost of around one lakh.

I evaluated Tally, a local Indian product, but it lacked data security.

Business One is good for smaller and medium-sized companies that want to handle simple business processes. For those companies, I would rate Business One nine out of ten, but overall I give it four out of ten.

Our clients are mostly in the manufacturing and services industry. The companies in the manufacturing industry are in many areas, such as Consumer Packaged Goods, engineering, and project construction. We are using all the solutions core modules, sale, purchase, inventory, and manufacturing.

The solution could improve by providing HR payroll, quality control, and maintenance. These are the missing features which we have to use add-ons solutions to provide the functionality.

I have been using this solution for approximately four years.

I have found the solution to be stable.

The scalability is good.

We have been satisfied with the technical support.

We have done the installation of this solution many times and it has become straightforwward.

We are on a perpetual license for SAP Business One and the price it should be less expensive when comparing it to other solutions.

I would recommend this solution to others. However, there are other solutions with features that could be a better fit for your use cases.

I primarily implement the solution for manufacturing companies.

The solution has helped with inventory, especially. Having the right inventory figures in the system has really helped companies. It's helpful in making cash orders for sales better due to the fact that the ordering approval process is streamlined. 

The customization features are the solution's most valuable aspect. You can make user-defined fields and user-defined forms and those make life very easy for the business. The fact that you can do some customization without going into any coding is great. 

It offers users a rather simple interface. I like its interface as it is nice and compact. It's user-friendly and easy to navigate.

The initial setup isn't too complicated.

If I compare it to bigger ERPs, I'd like to see some more time management options and maybe some better expense management features.

In terms of business processes, the production could use improvement. There could be more maintenance fields.

In some places, there are still many areas that could be enhanced. 

I've been working with the solution for a long time. It's likely been over five years at this point.

I haven't noticed any problems with stability. Security-wise, I don't see any issues in the backend of the SQL server. It's okay due to the fact that it is closed off. The reports can become heavy on SQL, so it sometimes slows down.

In general, I haven't dealt with bugs or glitches and it doesn't crash or freeze.

If the solution was more customizable, it would be more scalable. We can scale it to some extent. However, it could be a bit better. 

Typically, the partner or consultant provides technical support, and not the company itself. I wouldn't be able to directly comment on their own technical support. I don't have enough insight into it.

The initial setup isn't too complex. It's very straightforward. There is an implementation center for Business One, however, I didn't use any of it during this project. The project management activities in terms of the initial setup sometimes require authorization instead of initialization and it should maybe be better. In general, though, it's pretty logical.

The pricing is pretty good. It's not bad if you compare it to other software on the market - such as Microsoft GP or AX.

Due to the countries I work in, largely on-premises deployments are the norm and are preferred.

I used to work with different companies for Business One because my main job is as an implementer. I work as an ERP manager as well, however, my main work is implementation.

I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten. We've been mostly very happy with the product.

This is a complete production. We are manufacturers, especially in the manufacturing demand.

All of the production, finance, purchases, and different modules are being used in SAP Business One.

The most valuable feature of this solution is Financial Management.

The billing functionality and the integration of one department to other departments are areas that need improvement.

The price for AMC should be optional for those who do not use it.

There is no dependency, the integration between the other applications. For example, if I implement any third party, the integration will be a little bit complex.

The scalability of the data load and other aspects will also be complex. 

If you login to SAP S4HANA, it takes you a maximum of 20 seconds and with SAP Business One it will take a least one minute.

Bandwidth needs improvement.

I would like to see production integration included in the next release.

The organization has been using this solution for ten years and I joined approximately two years ago.

This solution is stable. It's perfect. We have not had any issues.

It's a scalable product.

We have contacted technical support and we are satisfied with them.

The initial setup is moderate. I can't say that it is straightforward but it is not complex, and it is not easy.

It's at a moderate level.

In terms of price, it's fair, but the problem is with AMC. We are not using any AMC support but we are still paying it.

I recommend this solution to others who are interested in using it.

I would rate SAP Business One a seven out of ten.

The Material Requirements Planning (MRP) feature of SAP Business One has been most beneficial for our reporting needs.

The solution's CRM module can be made better. SAP Business One does not have an HRMS.

I have been using SAP Business One for four years.

SAP Business One is a stable solution that provides many updates.

Our clients for SAP Business One are usually small and medium-level businesses.

I rate the solution ten out of ten for scalability.

It's difficult to implement the system and get the client's requirements, but after that, it's good.

It takes around two to three months to implement the main parts of SAP Business One.

If the client's budget is low, they go for SAP Business One. If their budget is high, they go for other products.

SAP Business One is really good and has helped many organizations to fix their inventory management processes. The solution's CRM functionalities are good, but not that good. We can integrate other CRM systems like Salesforce and Odoo with SAP Business One.

Depending on the customer's needs, the solution can be deployed both on-premises and on the cloud. Gathering client requirements is a big challenge for us during the solution's implementation. I would recommend the solution to other SMBs.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

We use it for all business processes such as finance, CRM, banking, treasury management, inventory, and purchases. We use all the modules in the suite.

I like analytics, dashboard, and KPIs a lot. It is very helpful when I need to check balances and financial statements.

We would like a mobile version of this for sales exhibits, etc. We would also like more personalization features to personalize it for our organization.

It is very good in terms of stability.

At the moment, we are a small organization. We have about ten active users. We are a growing company. In the future, we will get to know whether we can easily scale it or not.

Their support has been good. It has been a long time since we had any problem.

We had a lot of solutions. Basically, it has accounting, so we decided to move to this solution to meet our business needs.

It was a bit complex. This kind of implementation was new to us. Basically, we had to renew the data center, which required a lot of configuration. We also had to change a lot of permissions. The deployment took around two months.

We used a consultant. They listened to all of our problems. There were some problems that they didn't know how to solve, but overall, they were good. We had two people for its deployment. 

We have two people for the maintenance of the data center. We have one internal person and one external person.

We pay annually. It is around 800 a month.

I would recommend doing proper testing because it is not a simple solution. It has many options and features.

I would rate SAP Business One a nine out of ten. It is a good solution.

Business One is helpful when the company wants to change a process because it tells you the best practices for a company of the same size.

I like the monthly order management features. 

Business One lacks built-in HR features.

The price depends on your use case. We have to pay extra for a third-party HR solution because SAP doesn't have that.

I rate SAP Business One eight out of 10. My advice is to be ready to implement your ERP. Before selecting an ERP and starting the project, you must have a conversation with your users and clearly define your requirements. You need to familiarize them with the concept of an ERP so they can help you implement the project.

This solution is less complicated than other similar solutions like ERP. 

The solution lacks ability to integrate with other tools. 

I've worked with this solution for two and a half years.
