Significantly boosted both our sales department's performance and our finance department's efficiency by automating time-consuming manual tasks
Before Automation Anywhere, manual processes were time-consuming and error-prone. Now, automation gives us peace of mind with error-free execution, saving us manual time while running 24/7. AI, specifically through machine learning techniques, will impact data analysis and decision-making. Automation Anywhere is easy to use, even for business users. It is considered user-friendly, with clear documentation available. However, I've found the most effective way to learn is by observing colleagues who are building new processes, allowing users to see the software in action. A non-technical person can learn to use Automation Anywhere within two weeks. Automation Anywhere has significantly boosted both our sales department's performance and our finance department's efficiency by automating time-consuming manual tasks, freeing up employees, and enabling us to complete many processes without human intervention. Depending on the task, Automation Anywhere has saved us up to 70 percent of our time, directly correlating to cost savings. We have Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, ERP, and CRM integrated using Automation Anywhere. Automation Anywhere's integration with APIs is durable.

Good pricing, with great Azure integration and very good forms
We are a representative of the company. We are integrators and HelpSystems partners and we sell the platform to companies in Costa Rica, Central America, and Puerto Rico. We do the integration for clients. Therefore, we do the mapping, and we do the bots also. We are using the latest version of the solution. However, I'm not sure what the exact number is. I would advise others to have an expert that understands the solution assist in the onboarding process. The platform can be very good. It is really good. However, if you don't have experts to train your people and also to implement the solution properly within your company, it's likely the project will fail. Overall, I would rate the product at a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The dashboards are excellent."
"Many tasks take a long time for a person to do them. Automation Anywhere enables us to do those jobs in less time."
"The most valuable feature is its Excel integration."
"We have the MetaBot feature, which is valuable because we can read reusable components in the MetaBot, then use them as a framework."
"Excel automation is especially helpful because a lot of small companies are still using Excel as their data storage."
"It's easy to use for business users. Everything is good. It's a nice product."
"Automation Anywhere's OCR functionality stands out as the most valuable feature for us, as it allows us to swiftly extract data for repetitive tasks, significantly boosting our efficiency."
"The platform is easy to use, especially for business users."
"The solution is continuously adding more integrations to help with workflows and bot and task creation."
"I actually quite liked the no-coding functionality."
"This product is quite easy to install, learn, and use, with our new employees being able to start using it in projects for clients after only two weeks of internal training."
"Compared to other vendors, it's the scheduling tool because a lot of vendors want to charge you extra for their enterprise-level license to have a scheduling tool built in to give you the ability to set up regular schedules to run and do certain data checks."
"The most valuable features for my client are timing and scheduling."
"The most valuable feature is the drag-and-drop interface, which is very Windows-like."
"We have found the pricing to be very reasonable."
"The best feature of Automate is its ease of use, which is a major selling point."

Cons

"It is very difficult to create and automate timetables because they are modal, and it would be helpful if the bot could assist us with this."
"Automation Anywhere is easy to use, even if you lack technical skills. People without deep technical expertise can easily develop scenarios."
"They can further improve the AI. It is already at a certain level, but it can be improved."
"If we are going through the high availability in the IQ Bot setup, it's a bit complex."
"Integration with secondary environments needs to be improved or enabled."
"Automation Anywhere should improve its OCR command, as it's my observation that I have faced data loss or improper data being extracted."
"They want to get more accuracy in handwritten forms, which might take some time."
"The Recorder action in the A2019 Community edition is not supported."
"There is room for improvement regarding cloud functionality; there are a few missing features, and the logging could be better, especially air logging. We can go into logging events and create our own task, but it would be nice if this were more detailed."
"Error messages should be better. For error status, there should be better documentation because a lot of times, error messages that you get are quite vague. For example, you get a message saying that the workflow has run into an unknown status, which is vague. It just tells you that it failed, but you don't know how or why it failed. It makes debugging difficult."
"It's possible that they could use a stronger community for seeking guidance and help."
"Fortra's Automate is not as reliable as I would like it to be."
"While this solution is continually improving, as it is now, the user interface could use improvement when I compare it to a product like UiPath."
"The technical support could be better. We suffer from language barriers, as we are in Argentina."
"The intelligent automation feature could be improved. It's interesting because it's simple, but the automation quality isn't always good. It's easy to use, but sometimes you need to make a slight improvement to the automation, and that's not so easy."
"The interface could be more user-friendly and easier to navigate."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its usage is expensive for us because my user base is mostly in Manila and KL. The unit cost of labor is cheaper there than in the U.S. or Australia, which puts a bit more stress on how to get a positive ROI while continuing to use it."
"The licensing cost could be improved. It costs a lot. At the very least, the developer licenses and the control panels should be made free to enterprises, and the production environment licensed."
"It saves on the quality of work, because the quality can be bad when somebody's doing it. If a bot does the work, it's faster and comes with good quality. These are two important things along with the cost saving in the long run. That's where the value is."
"Pricing is affordable and I would recommend beginning with the Starter Package."
"The pricing for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"We are currently negotiating a contract. Depending upon that, we will definitely look at increasing usage."
"It saves me around $100,000 a year."
"The certifications are free of cost."
"While solutions like UiPath and Blue Prism cost around $11,000-$12,000 for each license, this product costs around $7,000 and you can keep it forever."
"The cost is a bit high for a small business like ours, but we manage with Fortra's Automate."
"Compared to other products, the pricing model for this solution is much more convenient, flexible, and adaptable to the Portuguese reality."
"I'm only involved in running the product and maintaining the systems, so I can't speak to the cost."
"The pricing is quite reasonable. We can run the process with one bot. The limitation is at the server level because they have some resources, and sometimes that is enough. It isn't too expensive, so you can get a good return off of one, and you can also have a pack of five bots that is quite competitive."
"I believe the price falls within a reasonable range, which significantly influenced our decision regarding the product. This aspect is crucial for any technological solution, especially in our country where enterprises might be hesitant to invest heavily in something untested or uncertain about its practicality and potential returns."
"I like the way this solution is priced because you can buy a license, or you can buy the software outright."
"From a distributor's side, one of the biggest selling points is its price point. Without going into any numbers, compared to UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Blue Prism, we're significantly cheaper. The main difference is that other competitors usually charge you per process. However, in Automate's case, it's priced per bot. So, a bot can run multiple processes at the same time, but you are only priced for a single bot."
