We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"One of our reasons to use the product is its cloud service. Our usage is mainly on the cloud and we like the benefits that we can get from the cloud. You can easily do the literal shift of your application easily. You can jump into the cloud very quickly.""The most valuable feature is the ability to scale the application.""The product is scalable.""The Logic Apps and Azure functions are very robust.""The stability of Microsoft Azure App Service is good.""The solution overall is very good.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure App Service is autoscaling and resource grouping. Additionally, the integration works well, it is easy to do.""Debugging using Application Insights is a valuable feature."

"ServiceNow gives us a lot for free: workflows, organizational structures, service portal, forms, reporting, disaster recovery, and so on.""The most impactful feature in our day-to-day operations is the ticket status, which provides crucial visibility into the progress of each resource or incident.""For change management, I find the CAB workbench very useful. I haven't seen any other solution that has a CAB workbench or advanced automated solutions for a change advisory board. ServiceNow also has the Workflow Engine which works very well and is very intuitive.""Everything about the schema, including the design of ServiceNow, is great.""The workflow makes things extremely efficient and it improves effectiveness.""It facilitates the monitoring of major incidents and provides insights into the effort expended to resolve each incident.""We used ServiceNow for change management, release management, and event management.""The Idea Portal and the PPM platform are most valuable. Their out-of-the-box dashboards and reporting are fantastic. I use them almost on a weekly basis. I have developed a couple of PMO dashboards for reporting. It is user-friendly. Everything is done through a navigation bar, and it makes things a lot easier that way."

Cons
"Customers love it when a solution is affordable, but with Microsoft Azure App Service, you can start and stop it, and when you stop it, it won't be reachable and it won't be available, yet you're still being charged for it. You'll still be charged even if the solution isn't accessible because Microsoft Azure App Service runs on a shared virtual machine that keeps on running, so if there's a way to work this out, it'll be a great improvement to only pay for what you use. The solution should have no hidden cost and no extra charge when it's stopped. This is what needs improvement in Microsoft Azure App Service.""Having a surplus of tutorials from Microsoft, rather than relying solely on documentation or features from other sources like YouTube, can be beneficial.""The outbound connectivity is not great.""From an IoT use case perspective, we're all good, however, we should have additional plugins.""The setup is complex if you have no experience.""Limited integration is an area for improvement in Microsoft Azure App Service. Another area for improvement in the platform is multi-language support.""There are no issues with the solution.""Can be improved by increasing the number of data centres worldwide."

"We do a lot of relatively advanced stuff for the size that we are, but ServiceNow itself is so big and to some extent, there is a significant amount of complexity that you have, a big learning curve I would say, in order to really get on board.""The solution's user experience could be improved concerning its UI and portals.""One thing I don't care for is the reporting and the way it functions.""The challenge with ServiceNow lies in its expansive portfolio of services. It can be complex, and users may find it expensive and challenging to understand. There is a need for a configurator within ServiceNow that guides users on how to utilize the tool effectively. This configurator should provide insights into licensing, team requirements, and the best licensing model based on whether companies prefer ownership or consumption-based models.""Its setup is tough. It takes a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience.""I know that discovery tools are not meant to be simple, but somehow, if they could make it more simple and robust, that would be great.""I have a problem with the way the solution's price is calculated.""It's moving at a very fast pace. It is difficult for developers or engineers to keep up with it. That's the only issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Azure doesn't cost as much as other services."
  • "Less than USD $100 per month."
  • "We have no complaints about the pricing."
  • "Azure App Service is expensive compared to its competitors, especially its cloud-only version."
  • "Where there are different customer sizes, some customers consume $5,000 US dollars per month. I have some customers who pay and consume more than $20,000 US dollars per month, for example. It is determined by customer sizes and requirements, which vary from month to month."
  • "The pricing and cost of this solution depends on the use and needs of a business."
  • "On a scale of one to five, with one being expensive and five being competitive, I would rate this solution as a four."
  • "The pricing for this solution is set in tiers, with the overall cost depending on the features that are required. I would advise organizations to have a detailed look at the functions they need, to ensure that they are in the correct pricing tier."
  • More Microsoft Azure App Service Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The first impact for the customer is that it is expensive, but do not forget that it is a solution that includes infrastructure; a single cost, easy to justify."
  • "It has a higher cost compared to local/regional solutions."
  • "We know that ServiceNow is not cheap, it's more expensive than other solutions. But we are trying to increase our ability to handle tickets so that the cost per ticket is less."
  • "It's sold as a less expensive solution, but it has to be highly modified. That's where you get into the cost."
  • "ServiceNow pricing is an art, not a science. The deal depends on how commercially savvy you are, which does make it something that is quite difficult to get right. It is most definitely an opportunity area for ServiceNow to improve and have more visibility around pricing of the different products within the platform."
  • "ServiceNow is a leader and its pricing is quite good, quite competitive... Sometimes some plugins are not priced reasonably but, generally, the platform itself, its modules, are priced reasonably."
  • "Isn't pricing always too much? We really do chafe at the ITIL licensing. ITOM is also pretty expensive."
  • "Initially, the licensing model ServiceNow came up with was very good. But now, from a licensing perspective, they are changing their model day by day. It is becoming a bit expensive for customers."
