Pros
"The key benefit of Omada Identity is maintaining complete control.""Omada's best feature is creating accounts, automatically assigning permissions, and distributing resources based on assignment policies.""The teams we work with at Omada provide great insights and support. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with them. That's the part we value the most.""The support response time and the freedom from strange bugs and strange things happening in the software are valuable.""The most valuable feature for us is the ability to set up connectors to various IT systems and offer a wide range of supported connectors.""Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs.""Two valuable features of Omada Identity are the ability to discover accounts and link them to identities, and the automatic disabling of inactive accounts or identities.""As an administrator, we benefit from a lot of functionality that is available out of the box, but it is also configurable to meet our specific needs."

"MIM's most valuable feature is its connectivity with Exchange.""Its interface and the fact that it's integrated with everything in the Microsoft ecosystem are the most valuable features.""The product allows us to track the logins easily.""What makes this solution attractive is the licensing model. Microsoft Identity Manager is included in premium versions of Azure AD and in enterprise agreements such as E3. This makes the solution very attractive to many of our clients who are subscribed to those products.""The most valuable feature of the solution is the fact that I can use it to track who is sending which email, who is accessing which documents or which files, etc. These tools help me improve security within the enterprise environment.""The feature that I find most valuable is the security layer of the identity and access management solution. The ability to secure on-premises and cloud-based workloads and to provide seamless authentication into hybrid workloads, which is also both on-premises and in cloud environments.""Microsoft Identity Manager's documentation is good, and its end-user portal is user-friendly.""It is a stable product. You will experience some issues with it, but it's a good product."

"The most valuable feature is the user experience for managing information.""It provides basic automatic user administration and role provisioning to save time.""Rather than implement a basic SSO, this solution assisted us with setting up two-factor authentication.""What I found most valuable in SAP Identity Management is process automation. The solution also gives transparency about what is happening and why which I find beneficial. Another feature I found valuable in SAP Identity Management is integration. It has very good integration.""What I like about SAP Identity Management is that it's stable for experienced users and suitable for access management, not just for SAP accounts, but for Active Directory, including file sharing and process sharing.""What's most valuable in SAP Identity Management is that it's easily an out-of-the-box solution for connectivity with SAP applications. We do not have to do any customizations, and this makes the solution very compatible with most SAP applications. SAP Identity Management is also very user-friendly.""The most valuable features of SAP Identity Management are business roles and automated user provisioning.""The tool's most valuable features are its access control and approval of access requests. The self-service password reset feature is efficient. Role management capabilities streamline user access by assigning and revoking roles."

Cons
"In our organization, all the data is event-driven, which means that if an attribute is changed in the source system, it can be updated within a few seconds in all end-user systems. There is room for improvement in Omada regarding that. Omada is still batch-based for some processes, so sometimes it can take an hour or even four hours before the execution is run and the update is sent.""When you do a recalculation of an identity, it's hard to understand what was incorrect before you started the recalculation, and which values are actually updated... all you see are all the new fields that are provisioned, instead of seeing only the fields that are changed.""Omada could make it a bit more convenient to send emails based on events automatically. Having that functionality is critical for us to maintain transparency.""I would like more training. As someone who is new to this world, I don't feel that the courses Omada provides are good enough. They should also improve the documentation. It is difficult to learn how to use the solution by yourself""The web GUI can be improved.""Omada's reporting functionality is limited and could benefit from greater customization.""There's a challenge with handling large amounts of data in this system.""The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"The security could be slightly improved.""They have to improve the User Entity and Behavioral Analysis.""It would be good if Microsoft Identity Manager Maybe could be integrated with Azure Active Directory directly and made as a cloud platform.""The governance reporting of the solution can be improved, as it can be difficult to get good, intelligible reports. Microsoft could implement an API of some sort to allow report customization or some form of SQL model, to further customize modules and improve the reporting. That would be a major improvement to the product.""Microsoft Identity Manager could be more intuitive in terms of interface.""This product was only launched two or three years ago and it is still in the process of becoming stable.""The product's pricing and integration features could be improved.""All actions require logging in to the server."

More Microsoft Identity Manager Cons →

"The pricing could be better.""Research and marketing need to be improved.""What needs improvement in SAP Identity Management is its compatibility with third-party applications. We'd like to get connectors or plugin settings to make it easier to manage other applications, whether SAP or non SAP applications. As SAP Identity Management is not compatible with non SAP applications, some of the clients are looking for other IDM applications such as SalePoint and Saviynt, so this is an issue we've observed in the solution.""A lack of startup connectors to different systems, and could have better connectors for SAP IDM.""I have encountered issues with the host authentication feature.""It needs to have the SSO for the HANA modules that SAP is releasing.""SAP Identity Management can improve risk analysis and authority checks.""One of the areas for improvement in the solution is its user interface which needs to be up-to-date and fancier, in particular, have better visualization in terms of the tabs and buttons. The user interface of SAP Identity Management should be improved based on the latest trends."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "Microsoft Identity Manager comes with the premium or community license. If the customer doesn't have a premium license, the reseller who sells the licenses of Microsoft to the enterprise can extend the license for the client."
  • "MIM is free with a Microsoft Azure license."
  • "The solution is included in the Microsoft E3 license and premium subscriptions of Azure AD."
  • "The prices can always be improved. I'd rate it a 4 out of 10 in terms of pricing."
  • "When comparing the cost, Microsoft Identity Manager is the best solution because it is free if you have an Azure P2 license."
  • "It is an expensive tool."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • More Microsoft Identity Manager Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "When evaluating the price of any product, I first look at how it meets my business requirements and if it meets requirements adequately and predictively. Currently, I don't see this from SAP Identity Management, so pricing for it is expensive, in my opinion."
  • "The licensing cost varies depending on the specific requirements and deployment size."
  • "I rate the solution's pricing a four out of ten."
