Pros
"It includes a valuable feature called Discovery, that aids in application portfolio management, enabling visibility into IT infrastructure from top to bottom.""I like the solution mostly for CMDB discovery.""The most important features of ServiceNow IT Operations Management are the discovery service mapping and orchestration.""As a product, ServiceNow IT Operations Management is pretty strong, and it can discover non-IP devices.""The most valuable features of the solution are discovery, cloud governance, event management, and service mapping.""ITOM communicates information about incidents and maintains them. It handles tickets change, manages service networks, and reduces IT service downtime for the organization.""The solution allows you to subscribe to the features you need and utilize CMDB, ITSM, and discovery on the same platform.""The initial setup is very straightforward. A person just needs to join a team to access the network and that's all."

"The data collection from our VMs, containers, databases, and backend components is valuable.""We haven't really experienced any glitches or bugs.""The features I have found most valuable are log searching and log analytics, both of which are quick features.""It is very easy to monitor multiple cloud environments. It's like a single pane of glass for us. We can use it to monitor our on-prem and both of our cloud environments as opposed to having different tools for each environment. Cons
"An area for improvement for ServiceNow IT Operations Management is making service mapping and discovery easier for non-IP devices.""If you are new to using the solution, you will find the setup complex.""At times, it got cumbersome from the project management perspective. It could have been because of the way we were using it. I found Microsoft Project to be more extensive and robust than ITOM.""My managers would say that the price is too high. We wanted to also have the visibility version of it, but it's too expensive for us. Going for visibility would have doubled up the price.""The pattern part can be improved. Patterns are used in the Discovery feature. Although it is easy to create new patterns and modify the existing ones, it would be better if this solution can have more out-of-the-box patterns. In terms of new features, they can include artificial intelligence, something like machine learning.""The initial setup phase was hard and could be made easier.""There is a slower learning curve associated with the tool's scripting part. It is also not cheap.""When it comes to improvements, I think that my colleagues and I often have issues finding the correct screen and the search box does not work as intended."

More ServiceNow IT Operations Management Cons →

"Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring's data analytics can be improved by including suggestions for various types of continuous monitoring.""In the next release, I would like to see more integration with other solutions.""We still use Splunk Enterprise licensing. A lot of the newer features go into Splunk Cloud before Enterprise. We're not looking to switch our licensing over, so we're falling behind on the newer features.""The deployment can be quite complex.""They do not have all the features that I expect right now.""The price has room for improvement.""Splunk could be better integrated with configuration manager solutions so we can automatically resolve issues without human interference.""The solution should have more sensors regarding fiber intelligence for security measures."
